Peaceful Paradise

The unit was lovely. Furniture and bed comfortable. It was so nice to fall asleep each night listening to the whisper of the waves. The easy beach access made the daily beach walks even more enjoyable. The pool is nice as well. Will definitely return.

Perfect location

The location is perfect. We stayed in the fall and there were no crowds, just perfect view of the ocean while eating on the screened porch. It was awesome to just walk out the back door and onto the beach. There is even a hose to rinse your feet on the boardwalk before going back inside. The only minor thing was that the floor had some soft spots like the underlayment was damaged and it occasionally caused a stumble.

30 Year Anniversary Trip

Great place to "call home" for a week. Very clean throughout the condo. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. This condo is literally 100 steps from the beach. Exactly what we were looking for. Flooring in the condo needs some attention. Wasn't an issue for us, but might be for others. Could probably use new mattress on the bed. For us, no complaints. Would definitely book this property again.

Couldn’t be closer to ocean

I have never stayed anywhere this close to the beach. It was just incredible. Views were amazing from every window and the screened porch. The beach was literally steps away. So whether we rented chairs and umbrella for the day or took a quick walk, we could get there in moments. We lucked out on our timing- the full moon shone brightly all night long, lighting up the water. Sunrises were majestic. The sound of the surf was refreshing and relaxing. All seemed like they were happening just for us! The unit itself was nice and well appointed. Port O Call location in Wild Dunes is in great proximity to many things- golf is just around the bend. There are delicious restaurants right in WD, not to mention nearby charming Sullivan’s Island. It was a truly wonderful visit.

Ocean Gem

This oceanfront condo offers spectacular views and a short walk to the beach. Very comfortable and nicely furnished. A small screened in porch is the perfect place to watch the sunrise or enjoy a glass of wine. Well equipped with everything you might need for you stay.

Enjoyable Week

I very much enjoyed my stay for the week. I especially loved the location in regard to the beach. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. The only negative is that you can hear the walking in the condo above. The family above me went to bed early so it wasn’t and issue for me,

What a view!! Fantastic stay!

This condo is fantastic! You can't get better beach views-from all of the windows! It was very clean and well stocked. The furniture was nice and comfy. The bed was a little hard but lots of people like that. I prefer a little squish but I slept fine. The parking was plentiful. We stayed in January on a cold, windy weekend so we were thankful for the views in the warm condo. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Spring break

The view is great. Wish the unit had updated smart TVs for the price you are paying. Internet streaming skips with watching live basketball/baseball interesting. It’s also frustrating to be paying so much but you don’t get benefits of staying in wild dunes, the gym, other pools, notification of golf/tennis activities.

We lived on the porch.

The condo was wonderful in all respects, very comfortable, clean and well laid out. Sweeping views from just about every window. On the sand right at the bottom of the steps. Water's edge is a two minute walk. The porch was just amazing. We sat at the table and savored the view, cool breezes and sound of the surf for hours on end. Only drawback was hearing our upstairs neighbors walking across the floor. But thankfully it wasn't terrible and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very clean and the best views!

This condo was very clean! We all remarked how clean and tidy it was. The views can't be beat from any window and being on the ground floor made it easy to walk down a few steps and be at the beach. The screened in back porch was perfect for morning coffee, easy lunches and great dinners. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils(if you want a plastic cup for the beach/pool be sure to bring one). We have stayed at port o' call before but will definitely stay here again. The owners take pride in this place and it shows. We never once had to contact our host as everything was perfect but feel they would have responded quickly as prior questions were answered promptly.

Quaint Beach Cottage

Perfect for our family of four. With younger kids, it was great to have the direct beach access and ground level to watch them play catch while we sipped our coffee on the porch. We did a good amount of cooking and really didn’t lack any major utensils. Minor Cons: I do wish the condo would have been equipped with beach gear like a cooler and toys. Luckily we drove and brought a cooler and some dollar store toys. Being on the beach it wasn’t a huge deal to run inside to grab something or let the kids run in to potty. There were several mushy spots in the floor, but we never saw or smelled any mold. Storage is very limited. Pool is not heated Huge pros: gated community, location of unit to beach access, proximity to resort amenities, comfortable furniture and bedding All that said, we’re already talking about returning next year. We really enjoyed the condo, location and amenities

Beware!

In all our travels, never have we stayed somewhere so disappointing. Thank goodness South Carolina is a wonderful place to visit. This allowed us to not spend a lot of time at our condo we wasted money on. I'm absolutely dumbfounded this condo has such great reviews. Makes me wonder if the property management company can remove the unfavorable ones. The floor in the entry way and bathroom are completely rotted. It's like walking on a soggy floor that sinks with each step and you wonder if you're going through the floor while using the bathroom. The quiet hours are very clearly explained and posted, but if you're going to trust the people above you will actually follow them, save your money and find a different place to stay. We spent 10 days listening to the people above us run the washer at all hours of the day/night. Along with them stomping, running, dragging things across the floor and just being very inconsiderate. Our long awaited relaxing vacation didn't include a 5 am wake up call from people stomp running above us. We even reached out to the property management company about this. There were several other small things that were head scratchers .. toaster blew the fuses (could only use it on the floor in the dining room), living room chair was disgustingly dirty and stained, 2 out of 5 outlets actually worked in the living room, no extra blankets (just to name a few). It just wasn't a positive rental experience. Wish we would have saved money and NOT rented the ground floor for the "beach access" as walking an extra 5 steps around the building got you to the exact same place. It should also be noted somewhere in the "amenities" that these condos are the ONLY rental on IOP that don't accommodate having a golf cart rental during your stay. We learned this when we tried to rent one for part of our stay.
