The house was perfect for our groups needs. The host supplied great amenities. We use the kitchen several times and found it well stocked with the pantry and all the necessary cooking materials. It felt brand new and was in a great location for us to enjoy the 85th Sturgis Rally.

Wonderful Home

We had a wonderful stay at the escape. This is a beautiful home in an excellent neighborhood. We loved the privacy and location, and Stacey is a great host. Can't say enough good things about it!

Home away from home

We stayed here for USTA Nationals! We wanted to be able to do some sightseeing as well! This was perfect for us! It was fairly close to everything we wanted to do, the host was quick to respond, the house was beautiful and clean with all of the amenities of home! We truly enjoyed our stay!

South Dakota Adventure

My husband and I and 12 year old granddaughter loved everything about our stay. Location was very convenient to Spearfish Canyon and restaurants and breweries. We did an easy day trip to Devil’s Tower and Sundance, WY. House is very comfortable in quiet neighborhood surroundings. House had well appointed kitchen and attention to detail to make for a great and relaxing stay. Communication regarding our reservation was excellent. We can highly recommend this property.

Great clean, quiet home with lots of extras.

Home was very clean and comfortable and was furnished nicely with a few extra features. We were 4 adults and stayed 5 nights for the Sturgis rally’s.

Family wedding

We were looking for a place to accommodate my elderly mother who is taking chemotherapy treatments and also somewhere family could gather through the weekend since we were congregating for a family wedding. This worked perfectly. It was zero entry. The garage allowed Gma to get in and out of the vehicle without getting wet. Yes it was a soggy wedding but still beautiful.

South Dakota trip

The house was very nice and clean, just as pictured in the photos. The bedrooms were a nice size for our group and beds were comfortable. Parking in the garage was so helpful when unloading all of our luggage, lots less steps and room to store a couple items not needed when inside. Also, having the washer and dryer available during our trip was so useful for us. This house was easy to find and not far off the interstate. Check in was easy and instructions were easy to follow. We found a few local restaurants we enjoyed for several meals during our stay in Spearfish. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Wonderful home in the beauty of the Black Hills

This was my first time renting a house for a family vacation and I had several questions for the owner. She was very timely and responsive. The home was beautiful. I felt at ease and relaxed during our stay. It was nice to have the convenience of a home, space, and access to make meals. Also, it worked well to throw a load of laundry in when needed instead of it piling up and taking care of it once we returned from the trip. The neighborhood was very nice and my husband and I enjoyed taking walks in the morning. The house stayed cool with the high temperature outside. My family would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Stacey was very prompt when answering any questions. For the most part the home was very clean. The previous renters had not cleaned the grill so we had to do that. Also we had three live cockroaches appear in the four days we were there. The amount of food left in the cupboards and in the fridge made it difficult for us to find storage for our food so many items were left out on the countertops which resulted in little counter space left to cook. With COVID19 and other viruses having food left behind is very unappealing to me. A larger frying pan that doesn’t stick would be nice too. Also could not find any foil or plastic wrap. We would have brought it but the deacrsaid it was furnished. But, again, overall the home was very nice. Comfortable beds, nice TVs and cable service. I would stay there again as long as pest control had been there to spray for bugs.

Great base for exploring Spearfish Canyon

This was a great little house, with all the comforts of home, and ideal for exploring the area around Spearfish. Located in a quiet neighborhood to the north of town, there was easy access to the interstate, just a short drive into town for restaurants or supplies, and most importantly fairly close to the hiking trails in Spearfish Canyon (about 30 minutes to get to the Iron Creek Trailhead). We were there for three nights, and used our two full days to explore Spearfish Canyon (we hiked Iron Creek, Spearfish and Roughlock Falls, and Little Spearfish Creek) The house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space and privacy for two couples. The house was well stocked and spotless. Having access to the garage was a bonus. We took advantage of the outdoor spaces (front porch and back patio) each day, just alternating between the two based on the direction and intensity of the sun. The house is in a development setting, so the other houses are fairly tightly packed around, but I rarely saw anyone else in an adjacent backyard. Kids and parents were riding bikes and playing in the street, but it was a very quiet and low traffic area in general. Actually pretty peaceful. Overall a great house! Booking, check-in and check-out were fast and easy. If we return to the Spearfish, this is the first house that I will look at for lodging.

Fall stay in Spearfish

Rental is a very nice part of Spearfish, easily accessible from I90, and quiet. We walked every day in the neighborhood and felt very safe, people were friendly, and met many dog walkers.
