Two bedroom loft with a three piece bathroom. Air conditioned open concept full kitchen, living room and dining room. Large comfy couch, 55" smart TV with NETFLIX, Spotify, Prime Video, etc... One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other has 2 single beds. Loft has a spacious deck with ample outdoor living, equipped with BBQ and magnificent views of the ocean.

Staying here you will experience nature at its finest. Only 5 mins from Terra Nova Park, Canada's most easterly national park, where you can enjoy kayaking or boating from sheltered bays to breathtaking coastlines. Also explore the 11 beautiful hiking trails it has to offer.

After touring the many local sites, head back to the Lofty Perch and take in the night show. The waters become like glass as the spectacular sunsets dip below the horizon and the loons echo across the bay. As the night falls the brilliant starlit sky will light the way to a relaxing evening.

Even better in person

The photos on the website are accurate but somehow the Lofty Perch seemed even nicer in person. I was fortunate to have beautiful weather so I spent long days out exploring in the park, kayaking, and hiking followed by dinner on the deck, watching the sunset. But I would have been very comfortable hunkering down inside with a good book had it rained for part of my stay. As a solo traveler, it was reassuring to have the owners right next door. They greeted me when I arrived and were available if I needed anything, but everything I could have wanted for a short stay was provided. I appreciated that they respected my privacy.

Absolutely Outstanding getaway near Terra Nova National Park

My family and I had one of the best times ever in our many, many years of travel staying at the Lofty Perch. The house, furniture, appliances, everything in the house was top notch. We could have stayed for weeks and still felt right at home! The hosts were available when needed, and their attention to detail was quite obvious. The location was perfect, quiet, beautiful views and so close to the National Park for hiking, boating, fishing, etc. We hope to travel back soon to experience this perfect place.

Perfect stay

The loft was pristine and well equipped with anything you may need. Tastefully decorated to give it a country cozy feel. We met the hosts who are beautiful, friendly people. We would definitely stay there again if vacationing in the area.

Peaceful Family Weekend Getaway

What a beautiful location and home away from home for our family! Brian and Anna-Mae are friendly and thoughtful hosts. They perfectly anticipated all the extra comforts we could have needed for our stay. Super clean and well-organized. Modern but still cozy and welcoming. A gorgeous evening sunset over the ocean from our patio. An easy drive to fresh and salt water beaches, hikes, parks, etc. Hoping to return again! Thanks so much!

A fantastic 2-night stay at the Lofty Perch in Culls Harbour. Very well situated for those who want to explore the Terra Nova Park and its vicinities. Very quiet. The hosts, Brian and Anna May, have thought of everything to assure us a wonderful time. Next time, we will stay longer for sure!

Great place to stay for Terra Nova Park

Loved the private setting and good base to use for hiking the trails of Terra Nova Park. I found Culls Harbour to be more scenic than nearby Traytown. Host was super responsive and friendly.

Magnificent Getaway

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Lofty Perch. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Brian and Anna Mae ensured we had everything we needed to maximize our enjoyment of the area and what it had to offer. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfectly comfortable. The loft was exquisitely clean, very well organized, and had everything we needed. We would love to stay at the Lofty Perch again in the future should we find ourselves in the area!

Lofty Perch

The Lofty Perch was a beautiful quiet retreat. Pride of ownership was evident everywhere and the AC was really welcome amenity on the very warm July days that we were there. Be prepared to do stairs = Lofty and to drive to the local sites. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Fantastic Place with Fantastic Owners

We absolutely felt spoiled staying at The Lofty Perch. It is just “off the beaten path” enough to make it extra special; but not so far that it’s inconvenient. The loft itself blew us away - clean, luxurious and well stocked. Brian and Anna-Mae are wonderful hosts - kind, gracious and welcoming. From here we highly recommend exploring the beaches of Eastport and town of Salvage - especially the hiking. Terra Nova National Park is also very close. We would highly recommend you book this spot!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay

What a wonderful rental house: it's in a great, secluded location for exploring Terra Nova National Park and the surrounding area and the house itself is spacious, pristinely maintained and very well-stocked. Lovely and comfortable. Just as importantly, the owners, Brian and Annamae, who live on site but are totally unobtrusive, are very welcoming and gracious hosts and very responsive to any requests. A truly great choice, with good value for the money.

Love Story from our family of four.

Lofty Perch was way more than anticipated. The hosts are wonderful people who have gone the extra mile to make sure you want for nothing. The four of us LOVED our 6 night stay and hope to do it again. Home now and we already miss the breathtaking view. You too will love Lofty Perch.

Fantastic place for R&R getaway near Terra Nova National Park

This property exceeded our expectations, it was beautifully appointed, built, decorated, and welll-equipped. Hosts were right next door and extremely accommodating. My only regret is that we did not book more time here. Highly recommended!
