Floating Bunkie Glamping @ Big Crosby Lake

Welcome to our unique Glamping experience. Surround yourself in lush forest and beautiful gardens from the moment you pull into your private driveway! First you'll see your Outhouse and hot water shower area! Next make your way past more gardens and paths to your 3 season summer kitchen. Here you will find a full size electric fridge and gas stove, big kitchen island and couch which seconds as a napping spot. Kitchen stocked with all your spices oil and soap . Gravity fed running water provides water for your drinking water and dishes. Halfway down to the lake is a newly constructed wood fired sauna with an attached screened in living area/bedroom with a covered deck/porch and fire pit. Two sets of stairs takes you to your private dock where you will find....Your 12X22 floating sleeper bunkie with a king size bed!! Chair and night stands and dressers are all found here on the water.
No electricity in the sleeping bunkie but candles and large battery for reading lights provided to make a romantic setting Composting toilet and sink on board. No running water on board! Watch fish jumping and loons swim past your front door!
Canoe and kayak provided! This is perfect for experienced campers used to a little roughing it but with some awesome comforts. We do have strict use policies in place for your safety and also for the clean and environmentally friendly use of this space. We ask that this space be used with respect for neighbors, the lake and our hard work in providing it. Party Pirates not welcome. Not recommended for children.

We absolutely loved everything about the experience. It's a brilliant experience sleeping on the lake. Everything was wonderful: the views, the landscape, the wildlife, etc. The property was fun to explore and it was a comfortable and easy experience to check-in and check-out. The owners are incredibly friendly and kind. We're hoping to stay even longer next summer.

Absolutely loved our stay. Paul was a fantastic host. He sent us information and directions, as well as met us onsite to show us around. The cottage was well equipped and super unique, which I love. We were right on the water, it was like sleeping on a houseboat. We wanted a few days to get away, relax, and be on the water and that’s exactly what we got. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful and unique experience

Paul and Dani are excellent hosts. The cottage-in-four-parts is beautifully made, the floating bedroom a dreamy place to watch the sun set and rise. Quintessential Canadian cottage experience.

Unique Piece of Paradise

Dani and Paul have created such a neat place to really unplug and enjoy nature and the beautiful view of the lake. We found ourselves noticing all the little details they’ve put into the place all weekend. There might be quite a few stairs and a trek down to the lake but the view is worth it. You can take a quick break and sit by the fire, or inside the screened in porch that would be nice and cozy on a rainy day. The outhouse is clean, and they have a neat set up for the shower. We enjoyed a canoe around the quiet lake, and fished off the dock (no luck catching breakfast). We really can’t wait to return next year! Thanks again for the relaxing weekend away. - Jess & Erik

The owners have created a unique setting with custom built Floating sleeper bunkie, summer kitchen, screened in living space and 3 piece outhouse, shower and wash station. The owners come from hospitality industry backgound for many years and have been in the vacation rental business for 10 years.
