This Property is well-maintained, and highly appointed, with spacious living areas, and two decks and it is wonderfully appointed.

Black Bear Lodge sits in the middle of the action at River Run Village. This beautiful property is in the center of town and has a short 100-yard walk to the Gondola and ski lift; this is a prime location. Underground parking, access to the community pool, steps to the convenience store and liquor store restaurants in walking distance, also plenty of shopping at the front door make this a family fantasy location. The lodge has a gym, hot tub, and sauna and access to the Jackpine larger gym and steam shower. There are lots of things to do within a short walk from getting a coffee at Starbucks or Inxspot to lots of great restaurants like Zuma Roadhouse, Kickapoo, Luigi's, Pizza on the Run, Paisano’s, and more. In the center of the River Run Village is a firepit for the kids to make smores or go skating on the huge frozen lake (the largest nature lake that is manicured in North America) in the Lakeside Village. Don’t forget that Keystone offers exclusive night skiing and there’s also a tubing hill for fun. Welcome home.

Our Property is set up as follows: A master bedroom with a king bed and flat screen TV and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the second balcony is attached to this room. There is also a pullout couch that sleeps two and a Murphy bed for two. A beautiful open large family bath in the hallway. Ultimately this property sleeps 8 comfortably. This 2 bed 2 bath property is much larger than the standard two bedroom properties in River Run Village and the living room and dining area benefit from that space. The living spaces in this oversized property are also far larger than those in a standard two-bed two two-bath property.

Great stay

Property was exactly as listed. Beds for four people to sleep alone. More if you share. Murphy bed needs repair, but was usable. Unit was closer to gondola than I expected and no more than two minute walk to anywhere in village. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great location

Great location in Village of Keystone steps from Gondola. Nice amenities. Only gave it a 4 star as decor is a bit outdated. They could also use some larger coffee mugs as believe 6 ounce cups and coffee overflows when using coffee maker. Other than that it was a great stay!

Keystone Skiing

The unit is very convenient for ski in/ski out. The unit is a dated and we had a number of issues during our visit (broken door handle, disconnected cable box, fridge on the fritz). The management company (Rocky Mountain Resort Management) was unresponsive.

Would notbat location again

No TV for the evenings, couldnt even cast to the TV. Rooms run down, windows and doors leaked cold air. All the woodwork is old and run down, furniture old and over used. Not enough soap for a group even though the place is set up to sleep 9

Awesome Location

We enjoyed our stay here. Close location to everything in Keystone. Like staying at the resort. Ski lifts in the back of unit. Very roomy bedrooms and bathrooms. We will definitely be staying here again if it’s available.

All about the location

A bit dated 2 bedroom 2 bath in the Black Bear Lodge. This is as close as you can get to the River Run Gondola and right in the middle of the River Run village. The condo is totally fine, it just has what appears to be original kitchen and bathroom fixtures/cabinets. An update would be helpful but with the focus on skiing and location we would happily return to this condo.

Very enjoyable stay at Black Bear in Keystone

The property was perfectly located for easy access to all amenities of the village. It was very roomy for a 2 bdr/2 bath condo. Management provided thorough information and detailed instructions. The only “negative” we can think of is that the coffee cups provided in the condo are tiny and don’t hold a regular amount of coffee or hot chocolate. Not a big deal though. 😊 Would love to return!

Nice in the past but won’t stay there again after dramatic price

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was more than double the price of the prior 3 years we have stayed at this same exact condo. They said it was being remodeled and would be really nice. When we arrived the only thing different was the flooring in the walkway area was updated. It was nice to have the same place to stay at but we will be looking at other rentals from now on that hopefully aren’t as hot and have curtains to block light and have thicker walls! The location is perfect for convenience, but that was unfortunately the only perk this year.
