Mysig traditionell A-frame Cabin, SKI IN AND OUT!

Ganska mycket alla som gÄr in genom dörren sÀger: "Det hÀr Àr vad en bergstuga ska kÀnna sig!" Vi har skidlappar pÄ vÀggen, troféer kvar frÄn lÀnge sedan skidresor, en vedeldad spis, gamla skidaffischer för dekor, ett dÀck och stor trÀdgÄrd för barn, mysiga sovrum med massor av tÀcken och dÄ! PÄ vintern Àr du bara nÄgra steg frÄn hissarna och pÄ sommaren börjar vandring ut genom ytterdörren.

Stugan byggdes av vÄra förÀldrar Är1963 dÄ det inte var mycket som höll pÄ sig utom bra skidÄkning. Sedan dess har vi tillbringat mÄnga en stor skidsÀsong och mÄnga en varm Montana sommarnatt pÄ att njuta av denna speciella plats. Det Àr fullt utrustat men ÀndÄ mysigt. Den har internet och TV och fantastisk gammaldags stil.
NÀr du gÄr in i dörren Àr du i skidrummet dÀr du kan stÀlla in alla redskap. Köket, matsalen och vardagsrummet Àr precis runt hörnet och dÀr hittar du den braskamin och ett matbord som rymmer 6-8. PÄ bottenvÄningen hittar du ocksÄ badrummet och tvÄ sovrum, ett med drottning och det andra med tvÄ enkelsÀngar. PÄ övervÄningen finns ett litet öppet loft (bra för barnlek) och sedan ett stort sovrum med en kung och en drottningssÀng.

Platsen Àr fantastisk. Du kan se stol 3 frÄn de (stora) framfönstren och det Àr bokstavligen ett steg bort. Som barn skulle vi Äka hem för chili vid lunchtid. Som vuxna Àr det bara nÄgra minuters promenad till alla barer och restauranger pÄ berget. Denna roliga stuga Àr full av fantastiska minnen och Àr redo för mer!
Om du inte redan sÀljs pÄ Whitefish Mountain som en semester, lÄt mig skryta lite av det. PÄ vintern hittar du nÄgra av de bÀsta terrÀngen i vÀster. Utsikten till Glacier Park Àr extraordinÀr och servicen pÄ berget Àr utmÀrkt. PÄ sommaren Àr vandringslederna rikligt och det finns zip-linjer, rutschbanor och annan underhÄllning. NÀrliggande Whitefish (10 minuter) Àr en av de coolaste storstÀderna i vÀst, full av bra shopping, golf, sjöaktiviteter, atmosfÀr och mat. Och sedan finns det Crown of the Continent, Glacier Park, bara 45 minuters bilresa bort.

Allt detta Àr tillgÀngligt för dig - och vÄr lilla stuga ligger ocksÄ bara 30 minuter frÄn flygplatsen - och ingen trafik.

Wonderful stay at Whitefish Mountain

Cozy home in a great location

We had an amazing stay in Whitefish. This convenience of this cabin was so nice. We skied everyday and enjoyed the fireplace at night. We will definitely be back!

The " Time Capsule"

The 1963 Chalet was just what we needed. Great location with everything we needed. The trees surounding the back deck provided a feeling of privacy that the other newer properties would not allow. I hope that you never cut the trees. I would stay at this property again.

Home away from home

Great Spot

To us this is what a ski cabin should be. It was located in the perfect spot, it wasn't too fancy, but it wasn't boring at all, really fun decorations/mementos, really well stocked, and, as my wife says, it was really cozy. We had great spring skiing weather, so the deck was our favorite spot after skiing. Thanks for sharing! It was great.

The A frame on chair 3 was exactly what we were looking for. 7 guys for a week of spring break skiing. Close to the bierstube and village market for snacks. We utilize the snow bus twice to go get dinner & groceries. Will definitely come back.

The best Aframe on the mountain

This is our second year staying at this iconic A-frame located just a few feet from chair three. I just love the nostalgia of this 1960s home. Some of our favorites are number 1 the fireplace is amazing and it’s always stocked with plenty of wood to keep fires going all day long. The beds are super comfy with down comforters, and the best pillows ever. Two of the most comfortable chair recliner chairs that sit right in front of the fireplace. If we could find a way to take these with us, we would. Lol. It’s a simple home, but yet has all the basics that you need for a relaxed stress, free retreat in the mountains.

Centrally located and feels like home.

The description,"Cozy traditional A-Frame" is just perfect for this house!! We had the pleasure of calling this home for 4 wonderful weeks. The house is located a very short walk from the village and snow bus. However when you are looking out the large windows from the living room you are surrounded by beautiful snow laden trees. It is a very short walk through the trees to lift 3. The house is equiped with everything you need ,be it the comfy lounge chairs, or the amazingly well equiped kitchen. The heating was very effective and kept the house warm and "cozy". Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY!!

Dirty and lack of communication

My husband and I booked this cabin with another couple for 7 days thinking it was sorrounded by trees and privacy. Little did we know that the cabin was located right next to a road with multiple apartment building on the other side of the road. A house was right next to the cabin with only a few feet away from the cabin. No privacy at all. Aside from the dissapointment of the location, the cabin was very dirty. We lost power one day while a storm was passing in the mountains, so we decide to call the property owner to get an idea of how they take care getting the power back and how long it would take. We wanted to get the fireplace started if we are not expecting to get the electricity back since it was very cold outside. I called at about 11:00 in the morning and did not receice a call back until the follow day. I also tried to communicate about the trash as there was no trash cans outside (i understand that leaving trash out can attract animals) and wanted to know what to do with it. I did not get a response until the next day and we were told that someone stops by once a week to pick it up. All of our trash was sitting outside the whole time. The worst part about the cabin is the fact that we had a mouse in the hallway coming from the kitchen. YES, a mouse! My husband sets a trap by the entryway as we saw it go behind the fridge. Thankfully we caught it. This is the worst experience i have had with VRBO rentals. I rent all the time but this one was the worst by far. I would never stay in this cabin even after all the great reviews people gave that i have read prior to going there.

Pros: Awesome house, comfortable beds, clean, had more than enough space for our family, had extra cooking supplies, coffee filters, spices, laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, etc. location was awesome you can walk to the resort, beautiful location and lots of wildlife. Had great water pressure. Cons: steep stairs for 2nd level, it can get warm up there, but not unbearable especially with the window open. Wifi can get spotty but you are in the mountains so what do you expect. Shower is a little small. Overall it was amazing and we would definitely stay here again!!!!

Cozy and convenient ski vacation

We had a great stay in the a frame. The house was well equipped and perfect for our family of 5. The location couldn’t have been more convenient and we enjoyed being able to walk to the chairlift as well as the market and village restaurants. The host was responsive and helpful when we encountered a minor issue during our stay. Can’t wait to return to Whitefish!

Perfect place for our adult family vacation

This cozy cottage was perfect for our family of four (missing one son). We could ski/snowboard right out the front door and wind our way around the mountain starting at Chair 3. Loved the fireplace in the evenings. The Village store is open 24 hours for any essentials forgotten during the big store shopping trips in town. Would absolutely stay here again!

Cozy A-Frame, Steps from Big Mountain, WONDERFUL

My fiance and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this cabin for 5 months in 2021. From our first day checking in through our check out date, the property owner/manager was in constant communication to ensure our stay, and the property was perfect for our time there. The property itself is cozy but straight out of a story-book. It comfortably sleeps 8 with room for many more if you are willing to share space! We had family stay with us on multiple occasions and every time they would complement the cabin. Some things to note: it is about a 10 minute drive into Whitefish but there is a (very) small corner store in the ski village that sells beer/wine/snacks/coffee. Its also a <5min walk from a hiking trail that takes you up big mountain! Furthermore, if you come in the summer, the cabin now has Air Conditioning! This addition that came midstay was imperative in helping us get through the summer months comfortably. This A-frame was absolutely amazing and we can't wait to come back next!

The best ski cabin ever

Such a great stay at the most comfortable and perfectly located A-Frame ski cabin. Loved the wood burning fireplace!! That and the old school vibe will certainly bring us back for another visit. Easy ski in/ski out made it a perfect lunch break stop and the kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. A gem of a place for sure.

A True Ski Chalet

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was in great condition. This is not a new construction, pristine condo...this is a well seasoned, well loved ski chalet. The communication with the owner was always very quick and informative. The location is great, just a quick slip through the wood line at the bottom of a nice run. Thanks for sharing it with us!

We (Don, Debby and Shelley) are siblings. Our parents built this cabin when we were kids and we've spent many a wonderful time in this fun cabin. We all live an hour or two away but continue to share it with our kids and grandchildren.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

First, because our parents had the great foresight to build it in 1963, but mostly because there would be family mutiny if we sold it! Everyone loves the cabin and has many warm memories of good and meaningful times here.
