Mysig traditionell A-frame Cabin, SKI IN AND OUT!

Ganska mycket alla som går in genom dörren säger: "Det här är vad en bergstuga ska känna sig!" Vi har skidlappar på väggen, troféer kvar från länge sedan skidresor, en vedeldad spis, gamla skidaffischer för dekor, ett däck och stor trädgård för barn, mysiga sovrum med massor av täcken och då! På vintern är du bara några steg från hissarna och på sommaren börjar vandring ut genom ytterdörren.

Stugan byggdes av våra föräldrar år1963 då det inte var mycket som höll på sig utom bra skidåkning. Sedan dess har vi tillbringat många en stor skidsäsong och många en varm Montana sommarnatt på att njuta av denna speciella plats. Det är fullt utrustat men ändå mysigt. Den har internet och TV och fantastisk gammaldags stil.
När du går in i dörren är du i skidrummet där du kan ställa in alla redskap. Köket, matsalen och vardagsrummet är precis runt hörnet och där hittar du den braskamin och ett matbord som rymmer 6-8. På bottenvåningen hittar du också badrummet och två sovrum, ett med drottning och det andra med två enkelsängar. På övervåningen finns ett litet öppet loft (bra för barnlek) och sedan ett stort sovrum med en kung och en drottningssäng.

Platsen är fantastisk. Du kan se stol 3 från de (stora) framfönstren och det är bokstavligen ett steg bort. Som barn skulle vi åka hem för chili vid lunchtid. Som vuxna är det bara några minuters promenad till alla barer och restauranger på berget. Denna roliga stuga är full av fantastiska minnen och är redo för mer!
Om du inte redan säljs på Whitefish Mountain som en semester, låt mig skryta lite av det. På vintern hittar du några av de bästa terrängen i väster. Utsikten till Glacier Park är extraordinär och servicen på berget är utmärkt. På sommaren är vandringslederna rikligt och det finns zip-linjer, rutschbanor och annan underhållning. Närliggande Whitefish (10 minuter) är en av de coolaste storstäderna i väst, full av bra shopping, golf, sjöaktiviteter, atmosfär och mat. Och sedan finns det Crown of the Continent, Glacier Park, bara 45 minuters bilresa bort.

Allt detta är tillgängligt för dig - och vår lilla stuga ligger också bara 30 minuter från flygplatsen - och ingen trafik.

Shelley was a great host; very communicative. This rustic cabin is very cozy and comfortable! The location is great for exploring Whitefish and the surrounding areas. We saw deer in the backyard and a bear on the mountain.

The A-Frame was just as I had hoped it would be! Our entire group loved it. Access to chair 3 right outside the door and stocked with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. This property would be the first I would look for when we get back to Whitefish!

Great place! A true vintage ski cabin. You can see chair 3 right out the front window a few hundred feet away. Beds are super cozy. WiFi works great. There is a tape deck if you have any you can dust off. Lots of fire wood on the front deck. I would recommend stopping at ace for some fat wood on your way from the airport.

Cozy home in a great location

We had an amazing stay in Whitefish. This convenience of this cabin was so nice. We skied everyday and enjoyed the fireplace at night. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time. This chalet has many pros and some cons. We visited in August and the location was ideal, as it is right by the Whitefish Resort, short drive to downtown Whitefish, and 45 minutes to Glacier National Park. It was great to have 3 bedrooms and multiple beds. The indoor furniture was comfortable enough, though the mattresses were just ok. We would've loved better chairs on the deck, as we loved sitting out there and saw many deer.The authentic vintage vibe was fun and felt like stepping back in time. However, there were some aspects that need updating: the towels were worn and some were stained and frayed, one of the bed sheets was ripped, a lamp was broken, and the fridge didn't seem to keep much of our food cold.When we called the maintenance number to address some of these things, we got an unhelpful response of "it's an old place, things are going to be shabby," however they did come later that day to change out the ripped sheets and brought a mini fridge.Last con, though the online instructions and the printed instructions say that you can stay until 12pm on check out day as long as you are not in the way of the cleaners, we were told the latest check out available was 11am. Better than 10am, but inconsistent communication.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and LOVED Whitefish.

Cozy and convenient ski vacation

We had a great stay in the a frame. The house was well equipped and perfect for our family of 5. The location couldn’t have been more convenient and we enjoyed being able to walk to the chairlift as well as the market and village restaurants. The host was responsive and helpful when we encountered a minor issue during our stay. Can’t wait to return to Whitefish!

Perfect place for our adult family vacation

This cozy cottage was perfect for our family of four (missing one son). We could ski/snowboard right out the front door and wind our way around the mountain starting at Chair 3. Loved the fireplace in the evenings. The Village store is open 24 hours for any essentials forgotten during the big store shopping trips in town. Would absolutely stay here again!

The " Time Capsule"

The 1963 Chalet was just what we needed. Great location with everything we needed. The trees surounding the back deck provided a feeling of privacy that the other newer properties would not allow. I hope that you never cut the trees. I would stay at this property again.

Great Spot

To us this is what a ski cabin should be. It was located in the perfect spot, it wasn't too fancy, but it wasn't boring at all, really fun decorations/mementos, really well stocked, and, as my wife says, it was really cozy. We had great spring skiing weather, so the deck was our favorite spot after skiing. Thanks for sharing! It was great.

The A frame on chair 3 was exactly what we were looking for. 7 guys for a week of spring break skiing. Close to the bierstube and village market for snacks. We utilize the snow bus twice to go get dinner & groceries. Will definitely come back.

Pros: Awesome house, comfortable beds, clean, had more than enough space for our family, had extra cooking supplies, coffee filters, spices, laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, etc. location was awesome you can walk to the resort, beautiful location and lots of wildlife. Had great water pressure. Cons: steep stairs for 2nd level, it can get warm up there, but not unbearable especially with the window open. Wifi can get spotty but you are in the mountains so what do you expect. Shower is a little small. Overall it was amazing and we would definitely stay here again!!!!

Centrally located and feels like home.

The description,"Cozy traditional A-Frame" is just perfect for this house!! We had the pleasure of calling this home for 4 wonderful weeks. The house is located a very short walk from the village and snow bus. However when you are looking out the large windows from the living room you are surrounded by beautiful snow laden trees. It is a very short walk through the trees to lift 3. The house is equiped with everything you need ,be it the comfy lounge chairs, or the amazingly well equiped kitchen. The heating was very effective and kept the house warm and "cozy". Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY!!

The best Aframe on the mountain

This is our second year staying at this iconic A-frame located just a few feet from chair three. I just love the nostalgia of this 1960s home. Some of our favorites are number 1 the fireplace is amazing and it’s always stocked with plenty of wood to keep fires going all day long. The beds are super comfy with down comforters, and the best pillows ever. Two of the most comfortable chair recliner chairs that sit right in front of the fireplace. If we could find a way to take these with us, we would. Lol. It’s a simple home, but yet has all the basics that you need for a relaxed stress, free retreat in the mountains.

Wonderful cabin right next to chair 3. It’s an older place as the pictures reveal but really nice. We had a wonderful stay and it was exactly what we expected. Can’t beat the location!

We (Don, Debby and Shelley) are siblings. Our parents built this cabin when we were kids and we've spent many a wonderful time in this fun cabin. We all live an hour or two away but continue to share it with our kids and grandchildren.

Varför värden valde detta boende

First, because our parents had the great foresight to build it in 1963, but mostly because there would be family mutiny if we sold it! Everyone loves the cabin and has many warm memories of good and meaningful times here.
