Our Tongariro Adventures Lodge is a sheltered sun trap, surrounded by bush and bird song, yet only 100 metres from the beautiful Kuratau beach of Lake Taupo. The Lodge has two double bedrooms + a third with 2 single bunks, able to accommodate up to 6 guests. Our Tongariro Adventures Lodge has a well designed open plan kitchen/dining/living space that opens onto a large covered deck, complete with overhead heating for extended summer entertaining. In winter the inside area is kept cozy and warm with an efficient log burner.

Peaceful and private getaway

Beautifully appointed bach with all that we needed, short stroll to lake but still felt private and peaceful. Enjoyed bush walks along lake and river, water sports, fishing, bird life and welcoming host

Great Kuratau Location

Great place to stay, so close to the lake. Clean and comfortable, feels like a home away from home Comfy beds and nice linen too. Fully recommend.

Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The place was clean, comfortable and in a great location close to the lake with an amazing back patio where we ate all our meals. Barb was great to correspond with and even mailed us something that we left behind. Could not have asked for better accommodations or a better host! Would definitely recommend!

Great little bach

Excellent location, has everything we needed - very short stroll to the lake with a lovely sunny covered deck for evening BBQ’s. Third bedroom with bunks is very small if a family is staying.

Strategy for dealing with Covid-19.
What Tongariro Adventures will provide our Guests:
1. Linen: All bed linen and bath towels are freshly washed and dried through a process called thermal disinfectant, where the temperature reaches a level that will not allow the spores of the Covid-19 to survive. This process is approved by ‘Assure Quality,’ the overseeing body of the food quality industry.
2. Sanitation of surfaces: In accordance with best practice as required by the Ministry of Health, all heavy use surfaces, including bathroom surfaces, power switches, door handles, table tops, cabinets are cleaned and sanitised by our trained staff.
3. Hand Sanitiser: Freely available to all guests during their stay. Tongariro Adventures supports the International protocol of self-care through correct hand washing to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Guests can access Tongariro Adventures Kayaks and Stand up Paddleboards at discounted rates.
I operate a Shuttle Service to The Tongariro Alpine Crossing, other Department of Conservation areas and surrounds. My shuttle is private hire so will work to your timetable where possible.
I offer a shuttle Service to Taupo Airport, Turangi and Taupo Bus terminals and National Park at a pre agreed fare.
