Positioned at the end of a private gumtree lined lane and set on 107 glorious pastural acres, Black Creek Paddock, named after the creek which runs alongside the property, is a peaceful, self-contained private home with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. This country farmhouse makes you feel like you’ve stepped away from the rush of the city whilst still enjoying all the convenience and luxury of staying in town. Perfect for food and wine lovers, attendees of the Lovedale Long Lunch, wedding guest accommodation or small groups of family and friends looking to be central to all the experiences and activities on offer.

Perfect for eight guests, Black Creek Paddock will have you enjoying the peace and tranquillity you have been craving for your friends and family. The joy of this property’s location is that you are moments from the best of Lovedale, Pokolbin and Rothbury to enjoy premier wineries, and cellar doors including Lakes Folly, Hungerford Hill, Capercaillie Wines, Binet and Gartelman Wines. Visit renowned restaurants and cafes including Muse, Emersons, Leaves & Fishes, The Deck Café, The Brunch Collective and Adina Olives. You will be only a short drive from wedding venues such as Petersons, Lovedale Wedding Chapel, Wandin and Moravia Park. Enjoy the convenience of easy access to local activities including the Vintage & Crown Golf courses, the Binnorie Cheese Factory, Ubika Day Spa and Balloon Aloft experiences. The property is also just 8kms to the Hunter Expressway.

Your arrival across a cattle grid to a large shaded portico will welcome you to a classic country home with generous proportions. On entering, you will immediately feel a sense of space with the 9-foot-high ceilings, wide halls and the charm of light filled open plan living rooms lined with spotted gum floors. If rest is on your agenda then the serenity of this rural property will be the start of your relaxation. Enjoy your best night’s sleep within any of the four King bedrooms. All feature luxury bedding and modern décor, fans and ducted air-conditioning. Three bedrooms boast en-suites, while the additional bathroom features a spa bath; plus, there is a further powder room available.

The well-equipped, open plan country kitchen has everything a keen cook would need including a Nespresso coffee machine for your essential brew. The kitchen flows directly into a games room with Smart TV and a pool table; this adjoins the very spacious dining and lounge rooms with lush linen sofas to catch up on your next chapter, or tell stories by the heart-warming combustion fireplace in the winter months.

Sit back and enjoy the expansive rural vistas through the picture frame windows or grab a glass of fine Hunter wine and find your spot on the gorgeous wrap-around veranda, perfect for a BBQ or some alfresco dining to enjoy all the lovely produce you’ve collected on a day of touring in wine country. With the sound of native birds, cicadas and creek frogs in the air in the late afternoon, try your hand at lawn games of boules or quoits, and as the sun goes down prepare to enjoy the endless starry skies only the country can bring. For those who like to connect, the property has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth speakers. For those wish to be unplugged, there are books and board games available, or simply take an enjoyable walk along the lane. The property also has a fully equipped laundry with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board should you have the need.

GUEST NOTE: Black Creek Paddock is a private home approved to host accommodation guests registered with Hunter Valley Stays only and is not a venue for events, functions or vendors.

SECURITY & ONSITE MANAGER: As with many pastural properties and farm stays in the Hunter Valley, security surveillance cameras are present to monitor the exterior of the property at all times. The pastural manager lives on the property full time and has a residence located at the rear of the barn 70 metres from the guest accommodation. Both guests and manager share the main driveway entrance access but are accommodated separately.

GUEST SAFETY: Children must be supervised at all times when onsite due to the adjacent creek and four dams on the property’s grazing land. We ask that guests please keep to the house paddock and do not for any reason, enter or drive on the property’s acreages as animals may be grazing.

FIREPLACES & FIREPITS – Please note the fireplace is available between April and October and firewood is supplied only during these months. No other fires are permitted to be lit on the property at any time due to rural fire hazards.

TARIFFS WEEKEND RATES (2 nights) (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Weekend - minimum 2 nights for up to 8 guests (adults or children) $1013 per night
Midweek - minimum 2 nights for up to 8 guests (adults or children) $760 per night
Extra adults are charged at $106 per person per night
Children aged 2-12 are charged at $64 per child per night
Infants under 2 are free.

Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $1000.00 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre- authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

LONGER STAYS
Please contact us for a customised quote for longer stays of 3 nights and over.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.

Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.

Fabulous holiday get away

Black Creek Paddock is a fabulous farm stay for a holiday getaway. Our team had 6 couples and booked this property with 2BR property Lillians, which is only 2km apart. We house 4 families in this property, each one has got separate bathroom which is great. The place was neat and clean lot of space in rooms as well as in common areas and kitchen. We celebrated 21 December 31st night and 22 January 1st morning breakfast in style.
