A three bedroom cottage with one and one half bathrooms sits on this half acre forested lot in the mountains and wilderness. The fourth bedroom, with its own bathroom is in a smaller rustic cabin behind the larger cottage and is included with seven or more guests. A Large landscaped yard with a fire pit and surrounded by beautiful trails. It is a 4 km drive to Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park and a 300 metre walk to the Chilliwack River and Post Creek. As this is a vacation rental, you will have the cottage and cabin to your self.

Great hospitality and a beautiful property

Thanks for our by far best VRBO experience! Having amazing hosts from pre-checkin to check out makes a vacation great. Also having a fully stocked kitchen with great cookware is awesome. Looking forward to staying again

Remote Tranquility With All The Comfort and Convenience

In our search for a summer retreat we were pleasantly surprised to come across this property on VRBO. It was the perfect size and setup for the 8 of us (2 families) and so we quickly started the reservation process and started looking forward to the trip. Fast forward a few months to our arrival, and the property exceeded all expectations! So many small touches that enhanced the stay, from the LEGO scenes that ended up being the perfect night lights for our children, to the gorgeous garden and beautiful lighting that added to the evening ambiance. We also loved how the framed photos in the living area were a reflection of the beautiful outdoor adventures that we discovered over the course of the week. The nearby river and forest walks were a highlight for us as well.Communication with the owners was always prompt and they were generous and helpful. We are so grateful to them opening up their little paradise to allow others like ourselves to enjoy as well. This is a gem of a property that had us feeling like we were stepping into a magical forest every time we stepped out the door. We will definitely be booking again when we are looking for an escape from the city. Thank you again!

Relaxing Getaway

This is a perfect getaway location. Close enough to Chilliwack and all it’s amenities but just far enough away to actually relax! The outdoor hot tub was so relaxing and the kids loved cooking marshmallows on the open fire at night. Everything you need in this super comfy cabin with a nice peaceful outdoor area to relax. Drinking my morning coffee and watching the deer really made my trip! We highly recommend this place to get away and enjoy mother nature. There is plenty of hiking trails to enjoy along with Chilliwack Lake close by, providing plenty of things to do or just relax. Joseph and Margaret are excellent hosts and we will definitely be back! You will not be disappointed!

Perfect get away

Amazing property for a family get away. The outdoor setting is amazing and beautiful at night. Very illuminated. The hot tub was perfect for the family. The interior of the house great and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and the little kids had a small space to scape and watch tv and hang out. We love having the separate little cabana to accommodate another family. We did notice that the water in the shower In the cabana took too long to warm up, but once warm was great. We really like the high end feel with house finishes and appliances. We liked the convenience of having washer and drier, however the washer had a muggy smell that we could not get right off. But at the end the cloths didn’t not smell bad, so it’s ok. Highly recommend this place :)

We both love nature and traveling. We are interested in everything in nature from beetles to butterflies to plants and birds. As you might expect we are also into hiking, mountain biking and kayaking.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Margaret and I wanted a cottage in nature that friends and family could enjoy with us that was close to home (less than 2 hours from Vancouver), but was still peaceful and surrounded by nature. Being in the renovation business, we saw the potential that this property had: two existing cabins, views of mountains, existing trees of different ages, close proximity to a river, a creek, and even at lake, in a good Neighboor hood of half acre lots.

The biggest benefits our a completely renovations cottage (4 seasons home), a second nice renovated rustic cabin, and the proximity to nature and so many hiking trails. The recreation options in the chilliwack river valley and Chilliwack Lake provincial park are quite endless. You don't even have to leave the property to enjoy nature, its right at your door quite litterly.
