Great cabin!

We had a great time! We enjoyed the cabin, the firepit, and even the trek down to the water. Nice, peaceful area, and Convenient to everywhere we wanted to go!

Happy Place

The cabin was very nice. I enjoyed being nestled in the woods and being able to walk down several stairs to a creek. Communication with property owner was helpful and the checkin/checkout was straightforward.

Great property. Single track road to access was a little hairy but ok after a couple drives. Enjoyed the quiet, shady isolation. The stairs down to the creek were amazing, a good workout. Great location, close to town.

Mayfly cabin

Very nice cabin and quick responses from host when questions arise. The road is a bit rough and very narrow to get to cabin but worth it. For those that can navigate a lot of steps, the view at the river is beautiful.

Get A-Way

My children and grandchildren wanted to get away for the weekend in the mountains. We truly enjoyed our stay. I found the cabin to be clean and fully furnished with everything we needed. We felt comfortable. It was close to sightseeing and shopping. A great cabin with a great view of the river.

Peaceful vacation

Property was perfect for our little family, only thing as a heads up is do not use Google maps to get there. They gave me a notice about it when they sent door code thankful my significant other has an iPhone since we were already on the way and I didn't have to download another map app on the way.

Very Nice Cabin

We enjoyed our stay here! Cabin had everything we needed and was cozy. Great hot tub! Very nice owners, helped when we got lost getting there. Google maps took us to the other side of the creek. The stairs down to the creek are no joke. This is the only reason we probably wouldn't book again, we would have liked to spend more time down there fishing but the trip down and back was a lot and exhausting. Beautiful property though and private. Thank you for sharing with us.

Great Location

The location was great being between the 2 cities. The stairs down to the creek...do not attempt this if you're out of shape, they're brutal lol. I think we counted 224 lol. We went once, it's beautiful Creekside! The cabin is just as pictured, the space was great for us (2 adult couples). We didn't use the hot tub because the weather was too warm for it. It is fully stocked with about everything you could possibly need for cooking! Hosts were amazing, did extremely well communicating with us! Good experience and would recommend this cabin.

We love it!

We were very pleased with our experience throughout the stay at Mayfly Cabin. The location of the cabin was great for accessing Blue Ridge, McCaysville and Copperhill. We even took a day and rode to Helen. It was about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive but definitely worth it. There is a close neighbor that sales firewood and even delivered it for us. We loved that you could access the creek from the cabin. They guys brought their waders and did some fishing. We cooked almost every day and the kitchen was stocked with everything you needed. The futon upstairs was comfortable for 2 adult guest to use. We would definitely stay here again!

The Creek didnt show any signs of activity, the cabin was small although it had really nice appeal.

Overall we had a fun time! We wished we would've known it was 286 steps from the porch to the creek which was a pain. Also the cabin is small but cute at the same time. Didnt have really good luck on the creek although i tossed out everything but the kitchen sink at them. The water pressure went out our last night while my wife was in the shower and never came back on we then called the owners. I would give this cabin a 3 out of 5 for overall experience.

Dying to come back

This cabin was absolutely perfect for the bachelorette weekend I was hosting for my sister, her bridesmaids and me. The goal was relaxation and tasteful fun, and we definitely got that here. The hosts are so kind, accessible and responsive. The location is so peaceful and gorgeous, and the cabin looks even better in person than it does in the online photos. Some tips: The hot tub does work, but it takes a long time to heat to max temp. So I'd recommend turning it on to your desired temp an hour or two in advance of when you want to get in it. The cabin's stocked with spices and leftover condiments from guests, but you might need more cooking oil and pans, especially if you're going to make a big dinner for a big group of people.

You won’t be disappointed!!

My family and I stayed at this cabin for a quiet vacation. When I say the cabin exceeded our expectations (we have stayed in several rentals) it really did. The cabin was fully stocked for our entire stay! I am used to sample size soaps shampoos etc to get you through your first day but that wasn’t the case. They thought of all the small details and my family didn’t need a thing! The cabin was extremely clean. The location was great we only saw one car and the garbage guy while we stayed which is exactly what we wanted! The cabin is also a close drive to blue ridge shopping and restaurants. Only heads up I would give is that most of the town and activities are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The cabin also had a foozeball table that wasn’t pictured in the listing that brought tons of fun on the rainy day. I would also point out that the stairs down to the river are NO JOKE but definitely doable. There wasn’t any firewood for the fire but we brought our own. My entire family made a lifetime of memories at this cabin and my 2 year old son keeps asking to go back. We will definitely be staying again!

Our second stay!

We absolutely love our stays at the Mayfly cabin in Epworth, Ga. This has been our second stay at the cabin and booking through Evolve. Everything has been seamless from our reservations to the quality of our cabin. The cabin itself is well appointed with everything you could need from cooking supplies, comfortable bedding, robs for the hot tub, flashlights for our walks to the creek, laundry detergent if needed. Coffee supplies. Toilet paper and paper towels. Anything you could need was thought of. The cabin is immaculate and very comfortable. The setting in the woods with the creek below is the most picturesque place you could imagine. Everything is you could want to do is a short and easy drive 10-20 mins away through gorgeous picturesque scenery. Some of the adventures we have partaken in have been: Mercier Orchards, Aska trails, Toccoa River, Blue Ridge lake and parks, Vogel state park, Downtown Helen Ga for October fest, Down Blue Ridge for shopping and dining, Bear Claw winery, and so much more. We enjoyed dining at Cucina Rustica. I would definitely recommend taking a drive through Russel Scenic parkway. Each time we stay is better than the last. We usually come at the end of October and have been lucky to catch the fall foliage each time. We will continue to book through Evolve and will be back to Curt and Carole’s beautiful Mayfly Cabin again and again. Five stars all the way!

Dream vacation!

Absolutely wonderful rental! It all started with the welcome to the cabin bag that had some little surprises in it which were perfect after a long drive. Every little detail in the house was thought of, they tried to make sure we had all the comforts of home and more. The cabin its self was breathtakingly beautiful and the furniture inside were incredible pieces! The river was like an amusement park in itself! There's a beautiful staircase leading down to the river full of smooth rocks with the constant current falling over them. The river was like an amusement park in itself! The nearby town art point and perfect for shopping. we spent many days just exploring the different towns around the area. There are amazing State Park's with Rapids that you can explore at any age. There's a nearby orchard where you can get fresh produce a delicious and healthy lunch and pick up my lovely bottle of locally made wine. I highly suggest Ole Blue, which is a blueberry wine with hints of pomegranate it's absolutely fabulous and I will miss it greatly! The cabin is easy to find given the directions and there are no crazy steep mountainside driveways to conquer. This rental he was everything we hoped for and more I highly recommend it.

We really loved it all. Quiet and serene.The steps down to the creek are seriously steep (all 223 of them) for a 62 year old, but well worth the trip. Loved it!

Very relaxing

The deck going all the way down to the creek was a nice surprise. The location was very close to the small town of Epworth. We would definitely rent again.
