The permanent Manager Couple Matthew and Theresa live on site in the gatehouse close to the entrance gate.
Guarded entrance gate and a second gate guides our guests on a 3 km scenic private road to the very tranquil Lodge.
Matthew and Theresa are great hosts and can arrange special requirements like chef for private dining , boat tours, helicopter flying comfortably from our own international standard helipad, etc etc.

As a German couple ( commercial property developer and she is a garden book author) we love the unique NZ landscape and support NZ nature and wildlife.
Build for our family use and sharing the property with guests we completed 2018 Kauri Hill Estate as a destination in absolute European high end standard.
We do since 2006 extensive pest control to support bird live and trees.
As a developer it was for me a happy passion to develop sensible in pristin enviroment the "Kauri Hill Estate" in this old recovering bush of 60 ha which high ridges 150m over sea level a 3.5 km private road + beautiful board and bush walks , relaxing ponds, streams, landscape with native plants, bird feeding stations, Helicopter Pad to intern Standard, a gate house for management with sheds for machines and maintanance ...ect.
All that to create a perfect retreat for relaxing , contemplating and enjoying NZ nature
in luxury.

Both Robert and Joseph live on site in a Gatehouse close to the main entrance gate.
High end safety standards, two separate security gates, CCTV cameras, coupled with our onsite managers ensures seclusion and privacy for our guests.
