My husband, son and grandsons booked a fishing trip on the San Juan River. This lovely house provided home base when we were in Durango. Each one enjoyed a specious bedroom and bathroom. The property and chalet design make the house truly stunning.

Wonderful house to stay at for our family! Close enough to get to downtown Durango in under 10min with plenty of room to spread out and relax. We had a great time playing in the yard and enjoying the quietness and privacy that the property provided. I would absolutely recommend this property and will be sure to book our next trip to Durango here.

The host is very communicative prior to our visit. The house has a lot of space and while we were only a small family, I can see how it would be well-suited for a larger family or group.

Great place

This is a really great house with stunning views. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us, and the kids enjoyed the game room downstairs. We had fun exploring the property and we even saw some deer and wild turkeys. The house is less than 10 minutes from town, so it’s a very convenient location. Chris was very helpful. We had a great time staying here!

Ski Weekend stay

This stay was terrific. jost was very approachable and his home was very nice and accessible. I would recommend this VRBO to friends and family and would definitely stay here again.

Large, beautiful home located in a peaceful area just outside of Durango. This house has a lovely open great room with living room, kitchen and dining in one large space which made it very accommodating for us. We were in town for a cousins’ reunion and the size of the great room allowed us to comfortably host a dinner one evening for 13 without feeling crowded. The bedrooms and bathrooms were located on three levels which allowed for privacy and quiet. During our stay we were entertained nightly by the wild turkeys that wandered through the property and we had a beautiful little fox come up on the deck on evening. Very nice place to stay.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed the rustic location on Lightner Creek, so peaceful and relaxing, yet not far from town. The house was clean and spacious and Chris was an excellent host.

Great Place to visit - beautiful sites

Lots of room for six to eight people (using bunk beds). Great location for day trips to several national parks. Only 5 or 6 minutes from shopping area of Durango...very nice. Owner very responsive and helpful for things to see, do and places to eat.

Peaceful Stay

Chris’ home made our trip a great getaway. While the home was only a few miles from town, the location and size of the property gave it the perfect secluded feel but was still close enough to Durango and surrounding towns. The views surrounding the property definitely gave tranquil vibes. It was perfect for our Christmas vacation.

Beautiful Property & House

The house was wonderful and clean. Chris was very helpful and accommodating! The property is beautiful. We really enjoyed being able to enjoy the land around the house and the creek running through it. The proximity to town was great!

Beautiful property!

We had a great stay in Durango. The house was beautiful on a beautiful piece of property! We enjoyed the creek and sitting on the porch enjoying the view of the mountain. The house had plenty of room for our whole family to cook and eat together. We especially appreciated that the living room had comfortable recliners because it was NBA playoff season and we had games to watch! Go Thunder!!

This was a great place. We had a great location close to the town and ski resort.

This house is beautiful! Very well kept and had everything we were wanting for our family vacation. Plenty of space both inside and out. Close to downtown for train, restaurants and shopping.

Great Location

We enjoyed this home as our base camp. We went out to see Mesa Verde, 4 Corners, Silverton and some hiking in La Plata. Found some great water falls. The host was very helpful and the house well stocked. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the stay! Love all The windows and views!
