Grass Lake lake house

Gorgeous home and amazing hosts

This home is absolutely gorgeous . Bathrooms for almost every bedroom, the layout was amazing . Our host was attentive , caring and always making sure we were having a great stay . The proximity to everything was great, you got a close but far feel . The lake and features of this home are really one of a kind. Highly recommend this home for a stay

Family lake weekend getaway

We had an incredible time at Grass Lake! The home was perfect for 6 adults and 2 kids. We swam, fished, and relaxed. I would recommend renting the pontoon, if you don’t bring your own boat. Jeff and Sheila were great hosts, very responsive and accommodating.

Just like home

We traveled from Alabama to come to a family reunion! Although originally from Michigan I had never been to Grass Lake. Very nice area and everything you could need was there. House was clean and perfect for several to stay. A plus was all the bathrooms since most places only have 2 this house had plenty. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay there again!

Top Notch Experience

Recommend this to everyone! Great host with great communication. This place is Super Clean and the amount of bathrooms made everyones stay a breeze. Plenty of parking helped make our birthday party a huge success. The lake is fun and clean and the fish are biting. Large kitchen, plenty of seating and TV/sound system was a great bonus. You will not be disappointed!

Relax by the lake

The house was so relaxing and perfect for our family lots of space. The pontoon boat was definitely worth the money due to was able to go out on lake as much as we wanted. Neighborhood is really only 1 big block and worth walking around not sure golf cart was needed. Loved having access to the basketball hoop.

Fantastic home

My only regret staying here is that I didn’t find it 7 years ago! Jeff’s home is absolutely wonderful; one of the best that we have ever rented, and we have been renting for years, typically on or near beaches. The view of the lake was wonderful and the home was so comfortable and well stocked. We had a blast playing pool, ping pong and darts and truly appreciated how clean the home was. Jeff took a last minute trip away from home, so he sent his dad to check on us the day after we got there. He was such a wonderful man and came back the next day to insist that we accept some money to pay for the ice that we would have to buy because for some reason the ice maker had stopped working. It was so kind of him and quite unnecessary, but we certainly appreciated it! I hope that someday we will get the opportunity to return to the home!

Great end of sumner retreat!

Great house. Plenty of room. Super clean and fully stocked with. everything you need. Made all meals in and it had all I needed to cook for a group of 7 adults. Lake is super quiet. Perfect host! Jeff was great, super friendly and helpful!

Beautiful place

If you are lucky enough to have the great weather we had this is a gorgeous place to stay. The sunrises, sunsets, clouds reflected in the lake and lovely water lilies were amazing. If the weather is not the best there are games and TV and billiards and table tennis possibilities. It was perfect for a small family reunion with all ages. The house sits well above the lake with a fairly steep, grassy slope going down to the lake. The house is well appointed and was comfortable enough for the eight of us. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was big enough for easy cooking and serving. We could eat comfortably either inside or out on the porch. The grill was clean and there was an extra canister of gas if we needed it. Jeff, the owner, lives next door and was very pleasant and responsive to all of our needs and inquiries. Some of us had a great time paddle boarding and kayaking on the lake. I enjoyed watching them and having some quiet time to read. It was a wonderful stay for all of us and we would gladly vacation there again!

A great getaway with awesome hosts!

Our family of 6 + dog had a super time! Jeff & Sheila went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!! The house is roomy & looks just like the photos in the listing! So much to do….we fished, paddle boarded, kayaked, went horseback riding, played pool & ping pong, roasted marshmallows and more! Top notch from beginning to end! We loved being out on the pontoon at sunset too! There is a grocery store about 5 miles away & many restaurants nearby as well- all of which were very convenient. Definitely a great time!!!

Great property that I highly recommend!

Felt super lucky to find this amazing property for the 4th of July holiday. Great location with super friendly neighbors right off the lake. House was spotless and having a fully outfitted kitchen and laundry room made it even better! Jeff was gracious and communicative and overall great! Highly recommend!

Perfect Weekend

We were staying at Jeff’s property for my sons wedding across the lake. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and more gracious host. He made things very easy on us to relax and enjoy the wedding. House was clean, well stocked and beautiful. Would love to come stay again. Thank you

Perfect place for a family stay!

We couldn't have asked for a better place for four far-flung sisters and their spouses to gather for a summer get-away. The house is spacious, comfortable, thoughtfully laid out, and well-appointed. We cooked/ate every meal at the house, and never felt like we were lacking for anything. The neighborhood was quiet and the lake made for a perfect setting. We hit the jackpot - weather-wise - for our stay: warm days and cool enough nights to use the firepit!

Perfect vacation home with overlying accommodating hone owner!!

We were looking for a place to disconnect from our busy schedules and focus on our family. This was the perfect home for that!! We loved having a game room, water access, and a boat of our own to use. I would HIGHLY recommend going tubing!! We enjoyed it so much that we went 2 days in a row. That was definitely one of our highlights. They made sure our kids had a blast and even showed them some tricks of their own. We have stayed in a few different vacation rental homes and this one by far had the most helpful hosts! The house came with anything you’d need.

Beautiful home, great hosts!

Home was really clean and exactly as described. The family enjoyed the pontoon, paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming in the lake (it was a little busy on Sunday, but during the week the lake was mostly deserted, we felt the whole lake was there just for us). We felt very safe letting the kids paddleboard and kayak all over the lake on their own. Kids loved playing ping pong and pool in the game room. Grandparents loved the fact that there were no steps from parking, to the kitchen, to their room and the deck overlooking the lake (and the three first floor bathrooms very convenient). The only downside was the steep slope to the lake, but the hosts graciously let us use their ATV to take grandma down to the lake and the pontoon. Hosts were extremely nice and responsive. Horseback riding also available, which my daughter took advantage, and absolutely loved it. Overall it was a plus plus experience (we've rented many homes, these were the nicest hosts). Would definitely book again.
