Set on 40 acres at the end of a country road in Kairi, Longhorn Lodges is the perfect place for your next getaway.
With only two lodges and the main house on the property, you'll enjoy the private and peaceful nature of this boutique farmstay.
The grassy paddocks are used exclusively for our prized Longhorn cattle and other farm animals (goats, sheep, pigs, pony, chickens).
We also provide a free animal food hamper with each booking, so you can feed all the different farm animals at your leisure!
With plenty to do and see, you can choose to make your stay as relaxing or as action-packed as you like.
A private fire pit and bag of fire wood are also included in your booking.
The two lodges, 'Wallaby Way' and 'Longhorn Lookout' are both situated in prime positions to take in the views of the property and enjoy a break from reality.
These two-bedroom cottages are cosy yet spacious enough for four people to enjoy. A private fire pit and bag of fire wood are sure to add to the experience.
With Longhorn cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, a miniature pony, chickens and guinea fowl, there is plenty to keep any animal-lover bursting with joy.
Whether you like to get up close and personal with the animals or prefer to watch them graze from the comfort of your verandah, thereâs an option for everyone.
Featuring exposed timber battens, sloped ceilings and an inviting verandah, the lodges have a welcoming and homey feel.
Whether youâre visiting during the hot Summer months or cooler Winter period, the reverse-cycle air-conditioning in the lounge and main bedroom will keep you feeling comfortable at all times.
Fun for kids, relaxing for adults. Youâll feel right at home in our cosy lodges.
Keep the kids entertained for HOURS with self-paced animal feeding, fishing and exploring.

Longhorn Lodges Àr vÀrd
We purchased the property in 2020 and knew straight away that we couldnât keep this little slice of paradise all to ourselves.
We quickly set about converting the old shed into animal enclosures, putting up some new fences and adding some farm animals to the family. With a few renovations and some TLC, the existing buildings were ready for guests.
We take great pride in sharing the farm with our guests, and love seeing kidsâ faces as they explore the property and get to know the animals. The cosy lodges, tranquil atmosphere and wide variety of wildlife are just some of the reasons we think youâll love Longhorn Lodges as much as we do.
During your stay, we are happy to be as involved or as invisible as you like. Generally, we try to stay out of your way so that you can enjoy the property at your leisure.
We both work full-time, but you might spot us feeding the animals or walking our dogs in the afternoon. Please feel free to come and have a chat, we donât bite! If you have any questions for us in the meantime, please pick up the phone or send us a message and weâll get back to you as soon as possible.
