Summary:
Envelop yourself in the sights and sounds of New Orleans as you recline on a wrought-iron balcony in the heart of the Marigny Triangle. Be a part of history renewed in this recently renovated building, originally constructed in 1849. This eighth ward gem is conveniently located around the corner from Frenchman Street and three blocks from the French Quarter, ensuring leisure and entertainment no matter what direction you walk in.

The Space:
The apartment boasts a light and open space with a cozy living room, dining area, and modern kitchen. This unique building’s history is exhibited in each unit: exposed brick walls and heart-pine floors are juxtaposed to new-age touches, such as our modern glass pendants and custom wood countertops. Tall French doors line the wall of this unit, allowing the perfect amount of light to accentuate this spacious interior.

Enhance your morning or evening by enjoying a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or cocktail (invented in New Orleans) out on the beautiful wrap-around corner balcony. Nestle yourself on this perch as you take in the visual and audible delights of one of the nation’s oldest and most beloved cities.

An iron gate and key-pad controlled door ensure that entry into the building is safe and secure. As you enter the building, the grand entry staircase will lead you to this second-floor apartment.

The building is conveniently located in the walkable Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. In addition to the close proximity of Frenchman Street and the French Quarter, enjoy the many cafes and restaurants merely steps away from your stay.

Groceries & Additional Supplies: Should you have any additional needs, Robert’s Grocery (pronounced roh-bears) is located within walking distance to the building. Additionally, Esplanade Mini-Mart is just two blocks away.

Solo adventurer? Traveling as a couple or family? In town on business? No matter how or with whom you travel, this is the perfect space for you and your guests.

Need space for additional guests? One additional 2-bedroom unit on the second floor, a three bedroom penthouse on the third floor, along with a private dining venue on the ground floor, are also available. Please enquire!


Apartment Layout:


Bedrooms: There are two spacious rooms: one master and one guest. Both rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Additionally, should your group require it, there is one queen-size air mattress available for your use.

Bed & Bath Amenities*: Extra blankets, closet space with hangers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and hairdryer are all provided for your convenience.

Kitchen*: Enjoy the full-size kitchen with all new modern stainless steel appliances and custom wood countertops. This kitchen is equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc. Cookware and dinnerware (including pots, pans, dishes, and utensils) are provided. Keurig, Keurig coffee pods and tea are also available.

Laundry*: Both a washer and dryer are available in the apartment. Detergent pods and fabric softener sheets are available for your convenience.

*An initial supply of coffee pods, tea, toilet paper, paper towels, detergent pods, and softener sheets is provided. Additional supply beyond the initial set will be left up to the guest to acquire.

The Neighborhood:
The Marigny is one of the most unique neighborhoods in New Orleans. Bordering the French Quarter it is an area with classic architecture and its location allows you easy access to the French Quarter, CBD, The Bywater, Bayou St. John and City Park.

The Neighborhood also has a great variety of bars, restaurants and local boutiques. Some of the great restaurants, The Ruby Slipper Cafe, Adolfos, Port of Call, Three Muses and many many more are all within walking distance of this location.

Getting Around:
If you're not driving the best way to get to the apartment is by using Uber/Lyft. Most everything is accessible by foot from this property, however should you going any greater distance I recommend using Uber/Lyft to get around. There is also a street car line on Rampart St. Just 3 blocks from the property. You can rent NOLA Blue Bikes from any Blue Bike station. However, please do not lock your Blue Bike to the building.

Other Things to Note:
Per New Orleans City requirements, this home contains a decibel monitoring device. The device is located in a common area and not in any bedroom or bathroom.

Cool spacious spot. Fantastic location.

Great spot within easy walking distance of much that New Orleans has to offer (restaurants, bars, French Quarter, Jackson Square, etc)! Property was clean and spacious with cool features; exposed brick, local art and a great wrap around porch to have coffee on in the morning and drinks on in the evening while watching horse carriages go by. We would gladly stay here again when we return to New Orleans.

Great stay at Burgundy House

Perfect location for our wedding weekend with all our venues in Marigny. Comfortable and clean. Great porch above the street. Two locking doors made us feel safe, too.
