Beautifully decorated 1 bedroom cottage with private bathroom, full kitchen with espresso machine ( freshly ground coffee supplied) also has electric pizza oven.
Lounge dining room has a wood heater, smart TV and dedicated wi - fi hotspot.
There is a front deck with great views and BBQ
All guests have access to our 9 basket, 18 tee Disc Golf course and discs are available to use free of charge.
This cottage is pet friendly with a private enclosed back yard.
Fire available from 1st May to 30th September.

Idyllic retreat from city life.

We wanted to get away from our CBD apartment and experience total country living, and Stephanie’s Country Cottages met the brief! The cottage was immaculate and nicely set up for a couple to be cozy. We fixed simple breakfasts and suppers there, and had everything we needed. Daylesford is a 20-25 minute drive away, and was our destination for lunches. Castlemaine and Kyneton are an equal distance away, too. Our dog enjoyed exploring the grounds, and especially having free roam of the fenced yard. We rarely visit the same place twice since there’s so much of the world to see, but this is likely to become our go-to break from the city location.

Property surrounds not as advertised

Ad shows lovely gardens, chooks, mentions golf coarse, walks but the reality is a tired property in poor condition outside ( inside very clean and generous size) but we paid the extra price for nice walks around golf coarse, safe yard for dog and to enjoy a lovely garden. Feel property is overpriced ! Appreciate Owners are in late 70s and it’s probably too much for them but it is not fair to advertise and charge for facilities that do not exist. No chickens just falling down run, rusted outdoor furniture in weedy arch not the neat picture portrayed. Grass was long and untidy. Sorry just not worth money ( less ok ..could lower expectations) I feel uncomfortable saying this but feel cheated as we would not have chosen so far from towns if we knew were not getting the promised atmosphere.

Great getaway

Cosy Cottages near Castlemaine.

We had a lovely stay at Stephanie's Cottages. Beautiful property and hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Great place to take your fur babies, as secure garden area for them to explore. We were excited to see so many kangaroos on property at dusk, many with joeys in their pouches!

Peace and tranquility among the kangaroos

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. The owners were friendly and welcoming and offered good advice on local events. The property was clean and comfortable and it was so lovely to open the blinds in the morning, look out over the beautiful dam and check what the ducks were up to and how many kangaroos we could see. We can thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Cosy getaway, beautiful setting

Stephanie and Philip are lovely hosts. They have a lovely property which you can enjoy whether you stay in or wander around the place. Kangaroos, geese, ducks and birds all by your door. Charming place!

Stephanies Country Cottages

Very cosy and comfortable. Great surroundings. Recommend to city people looking for a pleasant country experience. We counted 17 kangaroos without leaving the cottage. All the amenities you could ask for. Highly recommend!

Wonderfully serene

Well appointed cottage with everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing break. Lots of privacy, our furbabies enjoyed the comfort and security of their little backyard and we loved the fireplace, the quiet and the darkness at night. The King bed was soooo comfy - best rest we've had in a long time. Excellent communication and well looked after by Stephanie - Thank you!! We enjoyed the day trips through the area and very much enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Stephanie's Cottages. Our one-bedroom cottage was tastefully decorated and comfortable. We even had a pizza for dinner and homemade treats to have with our cuppa!! The surrounds were just so lovely and peaceful! Chooks, geese and ducks wandering around the grounds added to the rural atmosphere. Plenty of firewood provided for the cold nights! Thankyou to Stephanie for her warm welcome and attention to detail.
