Great veiws and amazing cabin!

This place was beautiful and the view in the morning was just amazing. The owner was really nice and took care of us. The downstairs with the pool table was a nice edition we all enjoyed. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Secluded enough to make you feel like you’re on a retreat but still in the heart of the beautiful town of hiawasee! Definitely will be coming back!

Hiawassee Vacation

Great location!! But bugs on the ceiling in the living room. Only 4 of us stayed. Mold on the shower door in master bathroom. Also carpets need cleaning. But all in all a very nice place with a nice view! Enjoyed our visit. Thank you!

HVAC is a big issue!

While we had everything we needed on the main floor, including heat and air, the downstairs had NO VENTS and therefore no circulated air. Our friends had to sleep with the window open (36° outside) and run a space heater in their room. Not. Good. I cannot imagine what the kids’ bunk room must be like. If you’re going to advertise as a 4BR, then please include all rooms in the HVAC system.

Home away from home

We loved our stay. The accommodations were wonderful and the view was beyond spectacular. We did have one little issue, but the property manager helped figure everything out. The only downside to the property is the steep driveway, but once you learn to navigate it, it’s no big deal! We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place to stay!

The house was very nice, clean and comfortable! Having the garage to keep our 5 motorcycles in was great! All in all it was a great place to stay. I only have one small complaint… Pull or trim the weeds near the garage and entryway.

READ THIS… it’s a good house, but could use some updates!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It’s a wonderful view, so close to town, but here are some things we wished we would have known ahead of our stay…1. There is NO ventilation in the basement. We all have allergies and two have with asthma, so the basement was just very stall. No air movement other than fans. It does stay cool-ish (which we were told via text when we arrived) but not comfortable. 2. It really needs a DEEP clean. We had a cleanliness issue when we arrived in the basement bathroom. It was full of black mold, however, with no proper ventilation, that’s a no brainer. The black mold was remedied, which was great. However, there were many times I was walking on the carpet and found a dead bug… that was crunchy because it’s obviously not been vacuumed well. 3. The dishwasher does not dry. So bring extra towels because you’ll be hand drying the dishes coming out of the dishwasher. 4. Also, there was a creepy amount of the closets locked. Every closet in the basement was locked. When you’re sleeping right next to a closet, it would be nice to just double check what’s next to you!Here are the positives:-plenty of silverware and cookware-a great amount of spices-gorgeous view -lovely landscaping-nice it has a garage-huge utility room -every room has a smart tv, which was great The dust pan was broken, so we bought one from Walmart and left it — enjoy! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, other than sleeping we stayed in the upstairs or outside because of the lack of airflow downstairs.

The house was as described. There were no mechanical problems with A/C, hot water, etc. Views were great from the outside decks. Not far from restaurants, grocery store, etc. Things to do on the lake were great. Public beach, pontoon/tube rentals, etc. Private and quiet and short drive to the above mentioned amenities and attractions. Helen, Brasstown Bald, etc. were easy trips.

Cabin Stay

Beautiful setting, beautiful cabin. Roomy, clean, and very nicely decorated. Only one issue. Internet service just about non-existent, and television service was the same. Don’t plan on any TV watching, or internet WiFi. Only complaint.

Fall vacation

The house was very nice and roomy. Great location. We did reach out to the guest host. A pack and play was listed as being available at the house. We could not find it…she didn’t answer and never returned the call…we made do. The owners should check the outlets…several do not work. Overall everything else was great.

Secluded Cabin

This had plenty of room. It would be good for multiple families, and or a family with several kids. There were 2 separate living/family rooms. The cabin was up a hill. It was a little secluded, but very quiet. The road up, and the driveway were a little scary, but it was worth it. I loved the wrap-around porch. We were lucky to be there on a Saturday night when the bar/grill had live music below us. We sat on the porch and listened to the music.

Beautiful View

Cabin was exactly as advertised inside and out! View was beautiful from the wrap around porch. Kids spent most of their time in the game room playing pool or darts and loved it! All was clean, beds were super comfortable, and kitchen was stocked for full use. Even saw some deer at the edge of the lawn. Would stay again and recommend to any family!

Beautiful Mountain View

Property was exactly as advertised inside and out! Kids loved the game room while we enjoyed the wrap around deck. Plenty of kitchen supplies, loved the smart TVs, and beds were super comfortable. Beautiful roses surrounded the house and even saw a momma and baby deer at the edge of the woods. Very relaxing trip and fun for all!

Thanksgiving Trip

I was hesitant about renting a home with no reviews but this was by far our best option for a stay over Thanksgiving with so few places available. I was very happy with this choice. The house was super clean and very cute. It was spaced out nicely with two great living room areas. Beds were very comfy. I loved the view of mountains and lake. It was right in town as well, close to restaurants and stores. Our only issue was that neither of the two gas fireplaces were working. After leaving several messages and emails, management apologized and said that there was an issue that the gas company had not been able to fix before our arrival. It would have been nice to have been notified about that ahead of time, but I understand that was a problem that was out of managements hands. I was concerned because there was no thermostat for downstairs and no vents to be seen, but it stayed comfortable and we had no complaints. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend.

Homey and Comfortable

We enjoyed our time in this cabin. The bed in the master is quite firm, but comfortable. The towels and linens were soft and plentiful. Make sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash/soap as it is not provided. They do provide hand soap and a few clothes washing tabs. The pool table was fun, although there was really only 1 usable pool cue. The view is very pretty, especially during sunrise with some fog in the valley below. It is super convenient to town and shopping and made a wonderful home base for us as we toured the area. Special instructions for finding the property came in an email the morning of check-in. I would suggest that these directions be provided when the address is provided as they would have been helpful in finding the house but we didn’t see them until after we had found it ourselves. The gps took us past the property and the house numbers along the road were inconsistent so we ended up looking for the green metal roof to find the house. If we were to return to the area we would definitely book again.

My new favorite home away from home

I fell In LOVE with this cabin. I was Looking for a nice get away and the pictures looked great but when I walked In, I felt At HOME. The cabin is decorated tastefully and the beds are amazing. The cabin is huge, tons of space to hang out. And the deck/porch has views that I could Not get enough of. Watching the sun set over the mountains became my favorite pastime. I love how it only takes 3 min to get to town and I loved All the things to do around there. It was quick access to not only North Carolina but Tennessee too. 10/10 I will Be back here again.
