Cozy lakeside cabin 30 minutes from Waterton National Park

Our bungalow style cabin has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a bathroom with a double shower, a large open concept kitchen/living room and a natural gas fireplace.

It is located on a 13 acre pond beside The Great Canadian Barn Dance, which is 1 hour from Lethbridge and 30 minutes from Fort Macleod, Pincher Creek, and Waterton Lake National Park.

Non motorized water sports are allowed on the lake, so you can bring a canoe, kayak, paddle board, etc. It is also great for skating/pond hockey in the winter. Swimming is not recommended. 5 minutes down the road is Cochrane Lake which is ideal for fishing. 10 minutes down the road is Waterton Reservoir which has a beach for swimming. There are plenty of hiking trails within a 30 minute drive.

The lake is shared with The Great Canadian Barn Dance which at one point hosted music camps, water sports camps, and other events throughout the summer. (Currently closed since Covid - unsure if it will reopen)

This property is pet friendly EXCEPT for cats as our family is allergic.

Nice little place

Property was nice, easy to find and good place to go "home" to after a day of exploring. Few things they could improve on for their guests but overall it was good for us.

Great cabin

The cabin was perfect for exploring waterton lakes (30 mins) and glacier (1.25 hours to many glacier) national parks. It was well-stocked, beds were comfy, and it’s right on the pond. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for dinner, drinks, and games in the evenings.

Quiet, cozy, pet friendly getaway

We needed a pet friendly place and close to Waterton. It checked both boxes and was a delight! We would definitely stay here again.

Lakeside cabin by Hill Spring

Very comfortable cabin in a very quiet area. Was the perfect place to come and unwind after a day at Waterton. Make sure to check out the Ranch House in Hill Spring, great price for great food.

Awsome stay

This was a lovely little cabin about 1h away from waterton town. Needed some planning for gas and groceries as this cabin is 30 minutes from a town with those commodities. Overall we had a really nice stay!

Comfortable, Quiet, Clise to Waterton Lakes

We had a great stay at this clean, spacious, well furnished cabin situated a lovelr drive to/from Waterton. Sunsets over the Rockies and the farmlands are beautiful and the night sky is breath-taking.

Cozy beautiful and comfortable

What a great spot! Close to Waterton and the mountains, the cabin is perfect for a family, it was clean cozy comfortable and functional. I’d definitely recommend this little gem.

Great stay for a trip to Waterton

The house is well equipped and comfortable. We spent a few days exploring Waterton and enjoyed the space where we could relax after our hikes and check out the stars in the dark sky. It was unusually warm while we were there and the bedrooms were a bit stuffy, but the stay was lovely overall and the owners were responsive and accommodating.

Great as always!

This was our second stay. Host is super responsive and the location is just perfect! Still curious as to why 2 shower heads (on opposite sides) in the shower, but my kid had fun with it lol... looking forward to next year!

Nice get away

Cute cabin in quaint area. Clean and kitchen had all we needed. Cell service wasn’t great, but I was happy to have kids get off their devices and enjoy nature. We would come back.

Clean interior, close to Waterton Lake National Park!

The cabin was clean and tidy! I would love if the backyard was up-kept to have a fire in the backyard. You can use the community fire pit, but I really enjoy the the use of pits in my backyard. It’s a great place to sleep close to several beaches and Waterton Lake National Park.

Our Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very close to Waterton, which was awesome. Internet wasn’t very good but was not a problem because we were busy. Also suggest another couch if more than three adults one adult had to sit on the floor, which was still OK because it was my husband and he can sit on the floor once in a while. 😅

Excellent experience

This was our first time renting a cabin. We were not disappointed. The cabin was beautiful, clean and well stalked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay and cook our meals. Richard was very pleasant to deal with and very helpful. We will definitely return and experience this again. Great job!!! Thank you for the amazing experience.
