Mullum Haven 2 - In the heart of Mullumbimby
Our lovely secluded place is perfectly positioned in the heart of Mullumbimby. Walk to all the wonderful cafes, shops & parks that Mullum has to offer.
Only a 12-minute drive to the stunning beaches of Brunswick Heads & Byron Bay, this is a great place to have as a base to explore all that the Byron hinterland and beyond, has to offer.
The space is perfect for couples, small families and business travelers.
Designated parking space. Designated work space. Private courtyard.
DOGS allowed.
Part of the Mullum Haven crew! Book all 3 townhouses for bigger groups.
The charming space is an independent two story apartment. Downstairs has a fully fenced courtyard with a cushioned day bed to lounge around and relax. The courtyard is straddled by three large trees that provide shade whilst letting in dappled sunlight for you to relax in.
Once you walk inside you'll find the lounge/kitchen area. The lounge has a large coffee table and comfortable sofa that turns into a small double sofa bed (suitable for 2 small people). WIFI and TV allow you to connect with the rest of the world.
Kitchen - Fully equipped with a small fridge, two hotplates and a small microwave oven. You will find all you need to have breakfast or cook an evening meal.
There is no formal dining area.
The entire downstairs area including the bathroom is disability accessible. The spacious bathroom comes with toiletries and a washing machine and dryer.
There is a set of stairs leading to a landing which contains a small work desk and sitting chair should you need to catch up on work or relax to read a book.
This then leads to a beautiful light and airy spacious Queen bedroom with built-in wardrobe, two bed side tables with lamps and a large slatted double window looking out into Mullumbimby proper.
The apartment has a powerful Airconditioning unit that cools down the entire space when needed.
This space isn't an add-on to a larger property it is an independent dwelling that you have to yourself for the duration of your stay.
Being in town, there are normal town noises during the day that drop off early to peaceful Mullum evenings and nights.
All linen and towels are provided during your stay. Please let us know if you will require the use of the sofa bed. The spacious bedroom has plenty of room for a travel cot or kids mattress to fit. A family of 4 (2 young children) could sleep comfortably in the one bedroom without using the sofa.
IGA is just around the corner and Woolworths a few blocks away.
We have styled this place with love and care and love our guests that take care of the place as if it were their own.
We have a self check in process but are on hand if you need us.
You will have access to the whole apartment like it is your own. This includes the front yard, downstairs area, landing on the mezzanine and the bedroom area. There is also a car space allotted to the apartment (number 2) as well as plenty of street parking.
Keep in mind the apartment is in town. Mullum is a peaceful little village but there are town noises that generally taper off to beautiful silence after 6pm or so.
Neighbourhood
Set between Australiaâs counterculture capital of Nimbin and impossibly cool Byron Bay, Mullumbimby is small in population but big in personality. All palm trees and tropical architecture, Mullum (as itâs affectionately known) is the gateway to the World Heritage-listed rainforest that characterises the far North Coast of NSW. The town offers plenty of opportunities for mingling with colourful locals at legendary markets, strolling the banks of the winding Brunswick River, dining in forward-thinking restaurants and cafes and easing into the alternative lifestyle this pocket of the Northern Rivers promotes. The Brunswick Valley Historical Society Inc Museum, meanwhile, reveals the regionâs history, from its early farming days to its most notable town buildings. For a moment of magic, connect with the worldâs largest crystals amid the lush Shambhala GardensâŻat Crystal Castle. Across five hectares of rainforest lie enormous, sparkling geodes, not to mention a dreamy labyrinth, buddha statues and the âDragon Eggâ: a 120-million-year-old amethyst cave where you can sit to soak up positive vibes. Outdoor adventures You donât have to travel far to immerse yourself in nature when Mullumbimby is your base â in fact, you can go bushwalking within the town itself. The Brunswick Valley Heritage Park is a botanical haven for hundreds of species of rainforest plants, some rare or endangered, and all of which nurture a menagerie of animals, big and small. Take the reserveâs trail to the Brunswick River for a picnic beside the water. Slightly further afield, more wilderness awaits in Nightcap National Park, an immense expanse of protected forest forming part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. Explore hiking trails along crystal-clear creeks in the shadow of the (extinct) Wollumbin shield volcano, then cool off at Protestor or Minyon falls â the latter offers a swimming hole at its base. Eat & drink Follow the lead of locals to The Middle Pub (bring your instrument for Sunday jams), Empire CafĂ© (the burgers are highly rated) or Izakaya Yu (a slice of Kyoto). Flock Espresso & Eats is as quirky as cafes get, full of mismatched furniture and whimsical art. Punch and Daisy offers a tight but delicious menu revolving around free-range poached eggs and homemade salsa verde with seasonal sides. Visit Wandana Brewing for craft beers with a view of Mount Chincogan. The regionâs bountiful seasonal fare also stars at theâŻMullumbimby Farmers Market, a heaving weekly event featuring stalls bulging with local produce â live entertainment is an added bonus. Held every Friday, itâs a great place to grab breakfast and good coffee, then stock up on fresh fruit and veggies or sweet baked treats to take home. The monthly Mullumbimby Community Market is like a mini-festival, with yet more food as well as arts, crafts and fashion. Music festivals The annual Mullum Music FestivalâŻspans four days every November, attracting some of the countryâs most talented up-and-coming performing artists â past editions have hosted more than 100 acts. Music aside, expect family-friendly events and activities, as well as street stalls selling quirky curios. Held just 15 minutesâ drive away in Tyagarah, Byron Bay BluesfestâŻis one of the countryâs largest music festivals, showcasing more than 200 performances across seven stages over five days at Easter. Byron Bay packs out, making Mullum the ideal base â away from the crowds.

Om vÀrden
Jenny O'Flanagan Àr vÀrd
Hi, I am Jenny! Myself and my young family made the Byron shire our home in January 2020, after emigrating from the UK and we LOVE it. Living locally means I can be a 'hands on' host if needed and can offer lots of great tips for exploring the local area. We love to travel and love the great outdoors, especially the Ocean. Our love for the sea has taken us all over the world as Scuba diving Instructors and we are so blessed to have had those experiences. I love to go for long runs, do Yoga with my friends and am currently learning to surf along with my 3 children! I have over 5 years of experience in property management and hosting, and just recently set up my own hosting business in the area - Ocean Vibes Property Management. My Partner is the local handyman and plumber and so he is on hand if any issues arise during your stay. We are committed to offering a fabulous stress-free stay to all our guests, allowing you to kick back, relax and enjoy this beautiful part of our amazing planet! Ocean Vibes look forward to hosting you very soon!
