Welcome to the Belfast Belle, your dream coastal retreatâa beautifully restored 1850s limestone cottage nestled in the heart of Port Fairy. Blending rich history with curated interiors, this unique home offers character, charm, and comfort in every corner.
The Cottage:
The main cottage features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, thoughtfully styled by the ownerâan artist, printmaker, and interior designer. The house is filled with vintage finds, global treasures, and original artworks, creating a warm, creative atmosphere. A sunlit lounge with vintage pink velvet and leather seating wraps around a gas log fire, while the antique dining table (a family heirloom) cleverly converts into a pool table.
The kitchen is full of personality, with a retro enamel oven, a vintage workbench from the Fletcher Jones factory, and a classic butlerâs sinkâplus a Webber BBQ, airfryer & dishwasher for modern ease.
The twin bedroom is perfect for kids, with a loft bed, games, puzzles, and books.
A second art-themed living room and study with exposed limestone and a cast iron wood heater offer cosy, character-rich spaces to unwind.
The Barn:
Tucked at the end of the garden is a two-storey barn-style outhouse. Upstairs is a charming attic-style twin bedroom with its own bathroomâfeels like a treehouse retreat!
Downstairs, a separate queen garden view room with ensuite. Both have private entry offering extra privacy for couples or friends.
The Garden:
Step outside into a private, blooming cottage garden with a cedar hot tub thatâs perfect year-roundâcool off in summer or warm up under the stars in winter. The entertaining deck is ideal for long alfresco lunches or evening drinks under festoon lights and grapevines. A hot outdoor shower is perfect after the beach.
This property is perfect for families, couples, or small groups looking for a unique, design-led stay with historic soul and modern comfort. Just a short stroll to Port Fairyâs cafes, boutiques, galleries, and beachesâyou can leave the car and explore on foot.

We are locals who live directly opposite the property so are usually around if you need anything. We run the local Surf and Stand Up Paddleboard school- Go Surf.

This has been our beloved family home for 15yrs. We previous only let out the attic room, now you can have the whole property!
