Great cottage for our group of 11 and spacious bedrooms. Beautiful view of lake and nice dock with pedalboat/kayaks and life jackets. Host was not responsive via VRBO app messages but very responsive by phone call.

Long weekend

Great location and property! Easily accessible and comfortably spacious. The lakeside dock is great and the canoes and boards provided served us well all weekend. Would definitely recommend it for larger groups.

Lovely, quiet little lake. Kids enjoyed the watercraft that were provided. Lots of room for all of us.

Happy 60th

Enjoyed the space and the Hot Tub and games room. Lots of room for everyone to do their thing. A couple of nice long walks. WiFi connection was sketchy for TV viewing. Kitchen a nice size lots of counter space. We enjoyed playing the games provided in the cupboards.

Did not live up to potential

I have never previously given a negative review, and I want to start by sharing that we enjoyed many features about this cottage including, spacious rooms, lovely setting, fun games in the basement (such as pool and table hockey), and nearby amenities. One minor drawback was the proximity to Highway 400, which meant the beach area was subject to constant traffic noise from across the lake. However, there were also several serious problems, that we found unacceptable, especially given the high weekly rates. Right from the start, the host was unresponsive. We needed information to plan our trip , such as, “is the water drinkable?”, “what is the configuration of the beds?”. The responses were minimal, curt, and not timely. For example, shortly before our week, we learned that some of the listed bedrooms were in a “Bunkie” some steps from the cottage. This information was provided only in response to questions. Later, when our water stopped entirely, the host implied that we were taking too many showers, and that “this is a cottage”. When we arrived, the Bunkie had not been cleaned., including the bedding which needed to be washed. Upon speaking with cleaning staff on our last day, there may have been a misunderstanding and belief that we would not be using the Bunkie. We note that the cleaning staff that we met on our leaving day was very helpful. With regard to water pressure; in fact, we were unable to take showers from day one, as there simply was not enough water.

Refreshing weekend with family

Our group of 10 adults really enjoyed our stay at this location (celebrating our parents' 80th birthdays). The house is arranged very nicely with a large kitchen, and several large and comfortable seating areas both inside and outside. Nice place for a quiet weekend!
