Light, bright and airy - this beautiful home is very well maintained, tastefully furnished and boasts all amenities including screened porch, outside shower, all appliances including HE washer/dryer, tvs in every bedroom and more. Sundance features 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The home is located just outside of town and offers a very quiet setting - perfect for relaxing and unwinding. There's a master bedroom suite (king) with private bath with soaking tub and separate shower. Blender; Toaster; Coffeemaker (Keurig); Stereo and DVD; Central Heat and Air; HE Washer & Dryer; Phone; Screened Porch; Outside Shower; Gas B- B-Q Grill; Beach umbrella and chairs (located in master closet in king bedroom). Gas Fireplace (only for late fall and winter guests - not available spring, summer and early fall). Parking for 2 cars only.

Not too happy…only 200 credit promised back for cockroaches and maggots in the grill area. I’m surprised I even got a call back so at least that’s a good thing however I’m still waiting on the credit promised after almost 2 weeks. Will not stay again!

August 2022 Stay

We have stayed at Sundance for the past 2 years and both stays have been amazing. The house is clean, spacious and private. My sister and I, along with our families have enjoyed spending time together in this home and on Chincoteague Island. We have been coming to the island since we were small children and have continued that tradition with our own children. My oldest daughter and her boyfriend got engaged during this trip, making it even more special to us! Thank you for helping us make memories in such a wonderful, relaxing home.

Perfect vacation

We’ve come to Chincoteague for over 40 summers. It’s the place a teenage granddaughter called her happy place. This year was particularly sweet because both of my adult children brought their families including a new 6 week old grandson. Sundance is a perfect setup with 2 bedrooms (king bed & 2 twin beds) and 2 full bathrooms on each floor. There is plenty of seating for lounging and eating. Kitchen is stocked much better than average,

May 2021 Stay

The house was incredible, so private yet not far from anything! The outside shower was so nice, and the grill is lovely. we had an issue with the central air, and they had it fixed the day they opened. There is a closet in the master bedroom with literally everything you could need for the beach! We used the bathtubs daily, the kids loved their themed rooms, the beds were large and had plenty of pillows, it was simply a lovely experience. The only negative to the house was the shower heads. They were water saving, which is good, but it took forever to wash out hair using the shower heads. Could definitely use some updates there, but everything else was perfect!!

Amazing Week in Our Favorite Place

Amazing Getaway with Friends

We stayed at Sundance for 4 days, 3 nights. It was by far one of the best experiences I have had in my 15 years of going to Chincoteague. The house is a lot larger than the pictures make it out to be with a relatively open feeling, while also allowing for personal space. Each bedroom is large and has plenty of room for two adults to sleep in. We had so much fun at this house in particular and plan on making this an annual getaway for our small group of friends. We highly recommend choosing Sundance and enjoying the same experience we did.

Winter Wonderland

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Booked this house for my fiancee's birthday, and we loved it so much we ended up staying an extra two nights. Incredibly spacious place for two people! The staff at Chincoteague Resort Vacations went above and beyond for us–even though they were closed on Sunday, they honored my after-hours request to book additional nights at Sundance. The house itself is charmingly and thoughtfully decorated, and has excellent features & amenities (wifi–strong connection!, huge TV, dishwasher, two-person bathtub, tons of storage, beautiful light reflecting on the backyard marsh through the trees). I was surprised to find a fully-stocked spice pantry and every kind of cooking utensil under the sun. An almost mystical air of calm permeates Chincoteague Island in its off-season, especially at night. We loved driving through neighborhoods, Main Street, and walking to a somewhat hidden park with a dock and gazebo overlooking the water and sparkling lights of the town. Poseidon's Pantry, Island Creamery, Famous Pizza, and Bill's Seafood were big hits for us. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge is just about a ten minute drive from the house; peaceful wooded trails with surreally beautiful flat marshland scenery, tons of herons (even swans, I think!), and pony observation stations. This was just the relaxing stay we needed, during city-life-in-COVID times. Highly recommended; we will come again!

This house has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation. Sundance is nestled in amongst a small wooded area at the end of a lane. The beds are all very comfortable and the house has a great layout. The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure that your stay in their home is stress free and homey.
