Rural Missouri

We stayed here three nights to celebrate a graduation in the family. It was a good location to get to both Springfield and Pleasant Hope. No problems getting in with the two key pads. Kitchen was well stocked; the bottled water was great as the tap water had a bit of an odor. Not the cleanest upon arrival (crumbs on the table, dead bugs on the floors, etc.) but not bad overall, especially for a working farm. We bought a fly swatter for the place due to all the extra “guests” that would enter every time we opened the door. :)We were surprised that the rental ended up being a duplex, with another unit underneath us. It’s not super clear in the original listing, and we initially found the property by searching “whole house to self” but there weren’t any issues with neighbors or noise. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with good vibes. We would likely stay again if back in the area.

Cozy-secluded getaway

This is not the Four Seasons by any means, but offers something we truly loved as a way to simplify life and spend it in nature. Each morning by the time we woke up at 7am, there are horses on the neighboring property that we would spend time with Four for a few. Everything on the listing was described accurately!

Relaxing

The home is in a perfect location to get away and relax. The house was very clean and the fresh flowers in various rooms made us feel welcome. All the amenities we needed were available. The location is between Springfield and Lake of the Ozarks so it was great for where we were visiting. We would stay here again if our travels take us that direction.

Quiet Home

We enjoyed our stay in Buffalo. The home was spacious and fully stocked. Property manager checked in on us after check in. Peaceful place to stay.

Meeting with old friends and golfing get away.

We had a great time! From the ease of booking to the ease of access this was a wonderful place to stay. Very relaxing and inviting. The icing on the cake for us was the nice surprise of the fall decor and the homey pumpkin air fresheners. We ate at the restaurants that were recommended in the binder in the house and both were great. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a relaxing trip.

A Few Notes

The place is nice, and well stocked with supplies and kitchen utensils. It was also in a great location for our job, being just outside of Buffalo. My team was disappointed that it had wooden chairs instead of a couch in the living room. They were also told they could not have a grill to cook on, which is unfortunately due to insurance purposes. On the day of check-in, the guys hauled equipment all day and didn't arrive at the house until around 9 pm. There were complications getting into the house due to keypad malfunctions. We attempted to contact the host, however with it being late, they did not get back with us until the next morning. Thankfully, the crew managed to get in after about an hour of fighting the keypad. They said the keypad was temperamental through out the stay, so it might be something they should look into!

A peaceful retreat!

Sabbath Sojourn review March 16-21, 2022 Our 5-night stay at the house on the hill was excellent! Clear directions and contact information were provided at the time of booking and were very useful. The property was beautifully staged and had all the necessities for the duration of our stay. There is a notebook with information about the property and surrounding area which was helpful and encouraged us to visit some of the recommended Amish restaurant/stores that we would have otherwise not known about. One of the most amazing experiences was hearing the early morning dawn chorus of the songbirds. This property is a peaceful retreat where you can simply relax and enjoy your time here. Wi-Fi worked well and there was no problem with cell phone service. Bathroom toiletries were nice quality and smelled great. The clothes washer does make loud noises, but that had been mentioned in the property notebook, so we weren’t worried. Lights in the master bathroom take a while to brighten up. Hall bathroom shower has a heavy curtain which makes it quite dark when taking a shower.
