You will experience a relaxing and romantic retreat with your special someone at the Riverwood Hideaway, a cozy and secluded 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin nestled among tall trees along the Sandy River. Located at the end of a long road on a private acre, you will enjoy seclusion, peace and quiet for your special getaway. Sip your morning coffee on the forest view balcony off the bedroom or enjoy the birdsong and river views from the spacious deck.

Snuggle up in the vaulted great room by the old-fashioned gas fireplace while taking in the view of the river and forest through the floor-to-ceiling picture windows. The fireplace will keep you warm as well as provide classic mountain ambiance. The small, yet fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a delicious meal.

You will want to make the most of your evenings on the river-viewing deck with a glass of wine while cooking dinner on the gas BBQ. Finish off the evening sitting around the firepit or soaking in the private, outdoor hot tub.

This one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin is best-suited for visitors who wish to unplug. Mountain bikers, you can ride to the Sandy Ridge Trails just 1 mile away.

The homeowners are happy to offer guests high speed internet service provided by StarLink. StarLink is top of the line internet satellite service.

We didn’t end up finding the location till Saturday morning due to the street is in a different area from the address given :/ and we had no service Besides that it was a nice stay (: hot tub was clean and the cabin was nice and clean

Great location, Very Dirty Property

The directions to get there need some improvement. Took us awhile to find it. The key code we were given was incorrect and we were out in the freezing cold trying to get someone on the phone to help us. The house was very dirty…the living room rug was COVERED in pet hair. I actually had to vacuum it because it was so gross. There were cobwebs and dust everywhere and several of the kitchen dishes and utensils came out of the cupboard/drawers dirty so we hand washed everything before using it. The sofa was uncomfortable and grimy. I did let the management company know about the issues but they haven’t done anything to rectify it. Beautiful location and the hot tub is nice but that’s where the positives end, unfortunately. Definitely not worth what we paid for it.

Beautiful little facility. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Poor property management

Toaster oven was completely full of baking grease. Hot tub was green. Wi-Fi was nonfunctional. Attempts to get support from the property manager took three separate phone numbers, and then we receive no responses for as much as four hours. My girlfriend slipped on the slimy wooden stairs and bruised her backside severely. Could have broken her neck.

Beautiful hideaway

This place was wonderful!! Super clean and very warm!! Had everything we needed. The river was breathtaking!!! Didn't need music cause we just listened to the river flowing over the rocks!!! No complaints and would for sure come back

Quaint cabin right on the river!

This property is a lovely, quaint property right on the river. Lovely hot tub and fire pit to utilize on crisp nights. The house is quite small, so really can only accommodate two people, as the listing states. Great, relaxing place to spend a long, quiet weekend.

We Loved It!

This was a perfect place for a quick getaway. The property was beautiful and set right on the river. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The management company was wonderful in helping when we had a questions. Highly recommend!

10 year anniversary trip

Husband and I decided to take a 3 day getaway from the world to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Had the most amazing time! Was private, quiet, and very little service made for some nice quality time. Best part was relaxing in the hot tub during the thunder and rain storm.Will be coming back!

Our 32 anniversary

It was a beautiful small little place. The kitchen and bathroom was stocked with everything we needed, towels and dishes, very nice. The only thing was there was cobwebs everywhere inside and out. The property could have been taken care of better the weeds were growing up through the chairs down by the fire pit, the pathway to the water needs to TLC. But really we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean there was a fan going when we arrived which we greatly appreciated. The weather was in the 90’s and no air conditioning so it was nice. Thank you.

Good for unplugging

This property is great if you want to completely escape. The wifi service is spotty, as well as the cell service. This is not a private owner, but a vacation rental company. The staff are very kind, but you are required to sign an additional contract to stay here. The cabin itself is great. It's close to the river. The property was tricky to find and the road off the main road is not very well kept.

Nice secluded location

Property was perfect for us. It had everything we needed. Our code didn't work when we first arrived but within less than 5 minutes they had this resolved. We would definitely stay here again

Storm power outage

There was a storm coming at big storm... The lock code did not work but Meredith was very responsive immediately! And got us in. we lost power the second day and had to leave 2 days early. Other than that the property is perfect!

Not for people with arachnophobia!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and were pretty disappointed. When we arrived we had be given the wrong code for the door so we could not get inside, this made worse because we had very little cell service and we couldn't get anyone to answer the calls we could get to go through. Eventually we had to get the booking site to contact the host and we finally got in after an hour of standing in the rain. When we entered the house we quickly realized there hadn't been any recent dusting due to the large quantity of spiders. Being in a cabin in the woods obviously we expected spiders but they were seriously everywher to the point we almost left early. We even had a spider crawling in our luggage at one point that was sitting on our bed. The hot tub was colder than I take my showers so we couldn't use that either which was one of the main reasons we booked here. The Roku was not functioning but that wasn't a big deal since we weren't really there to watch TV. Everything else was great. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, the appliances are all very small but the space is small so it is necessary but it all worked fine. We definitely wouldn't come back due to my severe arachnophobia but if you're not afraid of spiders I'm sure it wouldn't have been so bad.

Short Getaway

We enjoyed the home directions were clear. Regional safety communication regarding fire hazards and wildlife in the area were well communicated. Had some shortcomings on property access with wrong codes to doors and locks. Otherwise the home was well lit inside and outside. The river was immediately accessible to the lot which was very convenient and scenic. Area immediate to the cabin was clear cut. We had some issues with spiders and webs in the interior but nothing a quick dusting cannot fix. The plan is very well laid out. Some furniture pieces are a bit worn out and need to be replaced. Shopping around the area is convenient and so are the restaurants and coffee stores. We loved our stay and we will definitely come back!

Relaxing anniversary

Amazing cozy place for two! We enjoyed a stay focused of connecting with nature and relaxation. Just what we needed. There is no AC which 99% of the year is just fine. We were there the hottest week of the year so just a heads up if temp is 98 or higher
