This is truly a beautiful and unique home! One of its greatest charms is that it feels like stepping back in time. It’s a fascinating old house filled with whimsical, period decor, and you really feel like you’re part of a historic Savannah neighborhood. It reminded me of the beautiful old homes in New Orleans, and we genuinely loved staying here!The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were very clean, and the home had all the amenities we needed. Having parking available was a real plus, and the location was excellent.That said, part of the charm of an old historic home comes with a few challenges. The street is very busy and noisy, even throughout the night, and you can hear quite a bit from inside. Thankfully, the hosts thoughtfully provide white noise machines and fans to help with this. The steep stairs and clawfoot bathtub may also present some challenges for older guests or anyone with mobility or balance concerns.Overall, we truly loved this home and its one-of-a-kind character. It’s a special place with so much personality, and we appreciated the opportunity to experience a little piece of Savannah’s history. Just be aware that staying in a historic home comes with a few trade-offs!

The Stella was a very nice, Victorian home. Very spacious and comfortable. The hosts were accommodating and easy to get in touch with.Walkable to lots of places.

I’ve never had hosts that communicate so well prior to check in to ensure the process is absolutely seamless. The property was perfect for a weekend in Savannah for our group of 7. There was plenty of space to not feel crowded and the home had all we needed. Carmen added several personal touches for a birthday celebration that felt so special!

Amazing home and location

The home was perfect for our 9 person bachelorette, Carmen, the owner, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The location is within walking distance of everything you could possibly want to do downtown.

Fantastic house for our troop

The house was absolutely beautiful and exactly as described. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming and answered our questions very quickly. Our troop absolutely loved our visit to Savannah and this house was the perfect place for some great memories.

Lovely visit!

We had a great time. This home was beautiful and looked just like the pictures. The owners were very nice and communicated well with us. They even gave us plenty of suggestions of things to do and places to eat around town! Highly recommend them!

Family Girls Getaway

Our stay at the Stella was exactly what I wanted for our mother/daughter/sister/cousins getaway. The quirkiness and age of the house were fun and whimsical. We had all that we needed and were greeted by Carmen and Nick when we arrived. They were very personable and helpful. We had a lot of fun making memories and enjoying the beautiful city of Savannah.

I have mixed feelings about this property. On one hand the property has some history and quirkiness that we liked and the host was excellent in providing helpful information. On the other hand however the house shows its age in many ways. Paint peeling on walls and ceilings, floors that if you walk without socks will leave your feet extremely dirty, doors in bedrooms that don’t close. Also the neighborhood while not bad also is not great. Most of the houses have not been kept up very well. Also, likely due to home age, you hear everything outside with lots of loud vehicles (cars, motorcycles, and emergency services) into the night. On the location once you get a few blocks towards the park

Wonderful stay!

The property was eclectic and fun! Lots of attention to detail and super clean. There was lots of seating for guests in the common areas, and the beds were super comfortable. The property was also in a great location. It was very near to SCAD, shopping, and restaurants. I had wonderful communication with the property manager, and she was super helpful! my entire family stayed for the weekend, and we would definitely stay here again! I can't say enough good things about the property!

Great accommodations + location for low key bachelorette weekend

I booked The Stella for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. We absolutely adored this property! There was plenty of room for us and we were very impressed with how spacious the house is. It was a great location for walking to local coffee shops, stores, and restaurants. Because we were such a large group, we did opt to Uber/Lyft to a couple locations on/near River St just to save time, but when we had extra time we did walk to/from Forsyth Park and throughout other areas near the home’s location. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kitchen utensil and appliance we needed to make brunch before heading out each day. Communicating with the owners Jon & Carmen was very easy, Carmen was quick to respond to any questions/communications I had for her and she even dropped something off to the house that I needed that the house just happened to not have before we went out to a store to get it. The check-in/check-out process was also very smooth, and I appreciated the option to pay a small fee for a guaranteed early check-in as my flight landed much earlier than the designated check-in time. Overall, myself, my sister, and her friends all had a great time and I absolutely would recommend Jon & Carmen for any future rentals!
