The Retreat @ Takahoa Bay North Island New Zealand is an exclusive resort style wellness residence on the historic Kaipara Harbour, only 70 minutes from downtown Auckland.
With Privacy and seclusion in a 250 hectare private gated estate this getaway is also a rare find as its Genuinely Pet friendly, with a private beach and walking tracks throughout.
Our guests have also used this beautiful venue to rest and connect with their new baby and family.
A private deep water boat ramp with parking, picnic facilities Kayaking and off leash walking nature tracks, tennis courts and our own forest deck perfect for sun salutations or simply coffee and your favourite book.
Our private 1 or 2 bedroom apartment has private decks and 1 or 2 bathrooms and a self contained kitchen equipped with cooking facilities, complimentary Nespresso, Tea2 and breakfast provisions the adjoining dining room with sofa and complimentary netflix on your smart TV . We also have an Outdoor BBQ Heating and picnic facilities
A private cook is on site and available on request.

We discovered NZ 10 years ago and found the most wonderful piece of paradise close to Auckland on the Kaipara harbour and moved here with our dogs.
We are only 70 minutes from downtown Auckland in a small town called Kaiwaka.
Nestled within a private gated community, the estate has its own private deep water boat ramp, tennis courts, kayaking and the most amazing fishing , snapper in particular as we live in the heart of the snapper spawning grounds.
Covenanted bush surrounds the property and we are home to many indigenous native birds.
We harvest honey from our bees, grow our own vegetables and love to cook, William is partial to perfecting his own NZ home brew.
Its a unique property, pet friendly, baby friendly, we offer a wellness experience thats hard to find.
