Köket inkluderar spis, kylskÄp, mikrovÄgsugn, brödrost, kaffebryggare och mer. Den bifogade dÀck utanför vardagsrummet med uteservering och gasgrill Àr en utmÀrkt plats att njuta av den hisnande utsikten över sjön. Great location as far as the views are concerned and the accessibility to the lake. The place needs a good cleaning - found dirt and cobwebs under some furniture and were concerned for our little dog. Needs twi window A/C units - one in living room and one in main BR - it can get warm.

Another great week

Brought our kayaks and bikes to enjoy this lake and nearby trails. Host was pleasant and made sure everything was ok. Fell asleep to the sounds of the loons at night.

The cottage was wonderful. Well equipped with personal touches were appreciated. Two box fans available, we brought our own, and it was fine w/o AC. Even though warm; the breeze with windows open was great. The kitchen has everything but a dishwasher - excellent! The view, row boat (we attached our trolling motor), desk, dock and platform by the water - it was all great. We would enjoy staying again! This is a remote and special place. Close by town of Onaway had a well stocked grocery store, Tom's.

What a beautiful and lovely cabin! The host was extremely helpful and just an overall nice guy. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and serene just what I was looking for. We enjoyed several different activities in the area, including kayaking right from the cabin! Can’t wait to stay again! Miss it already!!!!!

Great location, well equipped cabin with a great variety of outdoor and indoor toys provided ( boat, fishing poles, cornhole, etc.)Would recommend purchasing a Michigan Passport. Many State Parks nearby that require the Passport to enter.

This is the perfect, quiet, cozy cabin for a weekend getaway

Craig and Laurie were excellent hosts for me and my partner’s long weekend away. The cabin on their property sits alongside their own vacation rental, but you have a private backward and private access to the lake with a small dock with a row boat. It was perfect! Craig and Laurie were very thorough with information (they email directions to get to the cabin with helpful tidbits on getting in which were very nice to have arriving very late at night!) and were very communicative, reaching out several times leading up to the stay to ask if we had any questions or concerns. The home was very clean and very nicely put together. They include lots of fun activities that would have been great for more adults or children; a cabinet full of games and cards, cornhole, and a binder full of nearby places to visit and things to do. We chose to stay at the cabin most of our time to relax, and could not have asked for anything more. The only downside was town is 25 minutes away, there are not any closer stores or gas stations, so we had to plan ahead. But even with that in mind, I would still stay here again and recommend to all friends and family!

Immulate cottage

The cottage was immulate and the setting was breathtakingly beautiful. We watched the lions at night. There were eagles, blue herons, geese and plenty of fish. The lake is quiet and tranquil. The host is great with attention to detail.

Perfect Gem on the lake

We had the opportunity to be a guest at The Point, and the cabin did not disappoint!! We were right on the lake with all the amenities provided to fully disconnect from the busy life and simply enjoy the "lake life". The cabin was clean, and provided all the essentials to enjoy a relaxing, care-free stay. The location was absolutely perfect. There's hiking close by, site seeing, two- tracks and so much more. The check in/check out process was easy, and Craig and Laurie had wonderful communication throughout. We highly recommend this perfect little gem.

Summer 2024

Craig communicated quickly and respectfully and even provided us some worms to go fishing at the lake. We had a chance to meet Craig and his wife, and they are lovely people. The cottage/cabin was very clean (including the grill!) and everything was very accessible. There is even a neat binder in the inside with information on the local area which was nice to have. Everything you need for cooking is accessible to you (besides the food and oil of course).There is internet at the location too which is nice. The only, and I mean only thing I would change, is if there was central A/C because it did get pretty toasty in the cabin during our stay. There are 2 box fans and lots and lots of windows, but the weekend we stayed it was exceptionally and abnormally hot for the time of year. Besides that, and the bugs of course (it's in the woods and right on the lake there will be bugs lol), the stay was close to perfect. We hope to come back some time!

Peaceful view, waterfront dream

We had the best time at this cabin: swimming, fishing kayaking, birdwatching, and just relaxing outdoors. The property and cabin were even better in person than we expected. The cabin was clean, and the layout was very conducive to enjoying the outdoors. We spent a lot of time down near the water. The view from the living room was amazing. We grilled dinner each night we were there and ate at the picnic table outside. We had no trouble finding the location of the property. A nice surprise to us were some extras we found, like the cornhole yard game, a couple of lifejackets (we hadn't taken enough for each of us), and two fishing poles (we did take ours, but appreciated that there were some for the use of guests). We're already planning our return trip!! Communication with the host was easy, and he responded quickly as well.
