We had a mostly positive experience with this apartment—it was incredibly convenient, just over a 10-minute walk to "The Bean" and the lakefront, and located right on the metro line. The views were fantastic, and we really appreciated the Fisher Building's historic vibe. The apartment was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. However, there was one major drawback: the heating. During our December stay, the outdoor temperatures were in the mid-40s, but the apartment was extremely hot. We had to turn off the heat from the building’s central furnace, crack open windows, and run the two portable air conditioners, it remained uncomfortably warm. The issue was especially problematic in one of the bedrooms, which didn’t have a portable AC unit. On the first night, that room was sweltering—easily around 85 degrees. We ended up directing both AC units and fans toward that room and leaving the door open at night just to make it bearable. After some effort, we managed to cool it down, but it was far from ideal. If you read other winter reviews, you’ll notice similar complaints about this issue. While we loved the apartment overall, I wouldn’t stay here again in the winter unless you’re someone who prefers a very warm environment.
