Serene lakefront year round cottage. Flat lawn for all the fun activities and a beach for the little ones to play. Spacious 4 Bedrooms 3 full bath accommodate up to 15 Adults, up to 19 with kids. Gorgeous Screened in Muskoka room with outdoor kitchen/BBQ grill and outdoor seating. Outdoor porch swing, foosball table, and ping pong table, 2 kayaks, 1 three person Canoe, 2 kids kayak and a SUP to enjoy. Go fishing! We also have 2 floats and a huge floating mat for you to stand on and wrestle with each other! Dorset is just 7mins away! Climb the Dorset Tower, Hidden Valley Ski resort is 30min away.

All the amenities were as advertised!! Host responded quickly to all our concerns!Bedrooms are very large, water clear and the mat in the water for the kids was fantastic. Lots of kayaks and lifejackets.The family cannot wait until next year! Thank you

Nice place to gather

The property and accomodations were very nice. Well kept, clean and as advertised. Nice and quiet with great view. Jaro was responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay!

Cottage on the lake

Was a very peaceful place to stay. Everything was labeled which made finding anything you might need very easy. The kyaks and canoe made it very easy to enjoy the lake would definitely recommend staying hereamd will for be doing it again

Great place to have a weekend getaway.

Beautiful property, lots of beds to accommodate bigger groups. Lots of room inside to play games/eat/socialize. Pretty secluded spot. The host was very responsive, patient and helpful for any inquires we had. You won't regret staying at Wren lake!

The cottage building was very nice. Spacious and plenty of room for the 11 people we had staying (6 adults and 5 children). The kids absolutely loved the sloping sandy waterfront, dock, sandy beach and all the kayaks and especially the floating mat. They spent many hours in the water swimming and fishing. On the negative side. The screened in Muskoka room was nice once I fixed all the window and door screens that I ad to repair due to the screens being in poor condition which allowed a lot of bugs in. I was able to mend them and we enjoyed this area in the evenings. The bbq and the overhead fan hood in the Muskoka room were extremely dirty and covered in grease. The fan hood covers were so greasy they keep falling out. This was disappointing. The beach front lawn area needs some ground maintenance. Grass was long and I spent over an hour upon our arrival cleaning up goose droppings in order to make the area usable. I would also suggest cutting the scrub trees in front of the Muskoka room as they really detract from the appearance of the cottage and view of the lake. Several other small items like potlight bulbs burned out and a running toilet on the downstairs also need attention. The driveway is very steep which is to be expected in cottage country but being that its gravel it needs work. The negative items I listed were minor in nature and we made due but are the reason I wouldn't give the accommodations an "excellent rating". We did however have a wonderful family time.

Wren Lake Haven

This cottage is perfect in every sense of the word! We were a party of 12 (ages 6-75) and there was something to do for everyone. We loved the shallow water beach for the younger kids, the screened in-porch (Muskoka room), the location, cleanliness and spaciousness of the unit, and the ample things to do (indoor and outdoor). The cottage is well-stocked and well-take care of. Jaro was swift in his responses, very courteous and always available. Would definitely recommend this to others and look forward to coming here again!

A beautiful long weekend

We had a great stay! The house fit our group well, rooms were spacious and well laid out. We loved the screened in porch to take cover from the rain (that we didn’t order haha) and somewhere to sit that was slightly warmer on the cool evenings. The bbq set up was amazing. The little beach area was fantastic for the smaller kids to play in the sand and the water and it not be too mucky or get too deep too fast. The dock was awesome for some of the older kids to fish and a nice spot to sit and relax. Jaro reached out with info regarding the property and if we needed any assistance. He was quick on reply and very friendly. We really enjoyed our stayed and plan to return, perhaps for a longer stay next time! Thanks Jaro!

Shangri la in the Algonquin Highlands

We absolutely loved this property. It had everything we were looking for and more. My grandchildren loved the water with all its amenities and I loved cooking in the spacious kitchen. The screened in porch gave us extra space for those of us who didn't want to watch TV in the evenings, however we spent most nights in the porch or around the fire pit. What a great week! And our host, Jaro, was most responsive. Lots of memories made!

Wren Lake Haven is a Haven!

We had a wonderful time at Wren Lake Haven! We enjoyed all the amenities this beautiful home has as well as the lake! Swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding were our daily plans as well as reading on the dock and enjoying the breathtaking view! The screened in patio room gave us the option of being outside even during the rainy times as well as barbecuing out of the weather! We always cherish our family time after the many separations during Covid! No one wanted to go home which indicates how fast our week went by! Our family included 7 adults and 2 children 9 & 5! Jaro was quick to respond to any questions we had! It was a unanimous decision to try to workout returning again in 2024!

Nice Spot for a Cottage Family Reunion

It had been 30 years since my family and I had been to a cottage. Wren Lake Haven provided a great spot for our return to a cottage vacation and a family reunion. It checks off all our boxes. It has a great view of the water, it is steps to the water, it has shallow water with sand for the kids to play in, a clean dock so the family can hang out in and it plenty of outdoor activities such as kayaks and canoes equipped with life jackets, a firepit equiped with firewood and outdoor lawn games. Inside the cottage, the kitchen and dining room are spacious and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed eating and spending time the muskoka room that has the water front view. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. There are plenty of bathrooms and clean towels to choose from. Even though it rained some days during our visit, we enjoyed spending time as a family by playing the 50+ board games, watching the big TV in the livingroom, playing fooseball or enjoying the game room. The only minor thing that would have made our stay even better is if all the dishes were washed prior to us arriving and if all the surfaces are better wiped down prior to us arriving (eg. the fridge and the BBQ in the Muskoka Room). The bathrooms are clean but the mats in the bathrooom look tired and could use some replacing. The owner, Jaro was always reachable at any time, helpful and respectful whenever we had questions by phone calls or texts. Would definitely recommend to others and would come again.

Perfect for all ages!

This cottage has a little something for everyone. The bedrooms are large and spacious. The ping pong table was a ton of fun. Both adult and kid Kayaks and a beautiful lake. Lots of fish caught by kids of all ages. Perfect spot for fires and to play Kan Jam. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and we were spread out comfortably. You will love the muskoka room. Thank you for letting us experience Wren Lake!!
