Don’t do it!!

Not as advertised. Pictures make it look habitable. I guess if you’re a group of drunken 20 year old skiers and just need a place to lay your head this place will suffice. For two older couples looking for a relaxing respite from the heat not so much. It’s old, shabby and the a/c only works in one room. The bathroom is so small u can do your business, wash your hands and shower at the same time.

Great Location, Comfortable but…

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Pros: House is spacious, furniture and beds were comfortable. The location is fantastic, especially if you like to watch wildlife. We had elk passing by the deck almost everyday. Close by bull elk were bugeling all night, very cool. Cons: The kitchen was poorly equipped with basic items such as mixing bowls and larger pots and pans. We stayed for 9 nights so we needed to cook some meals for four adults and do we had to ho to Dollar General in CCroft to get what we neefed. Plenty of dishes, gladses cups, etc.but not the cleanest due to lack of dishwasher (which we knew about).but we had to buy a dish strainer so we could hand wash the dishes. The floor in the upstairs.bedroom had not been vacuumed fully. We found lots of dust and pine.needles on the floor and receipt from 6/24 next to bed.The upstairs toilet required several lushes for it to empty the bowl. I would give the unit 8/10 at best

Clean, some recent remodeling and painting, Responsive landlord

Clean and nice furniture. Gravel driveway is steep, but nice flat area to park and unpack. 2 of the beds are very comfortable, not sure about 3rd. Nice scenic deck, but unfortunately pretty busy highway at bottom of hill. Not horrible but does distract from the solitude. About 15 minutes from Cloudcroft, which we were very pleased with. Some nice restaurants and reasonable shopping. Tennis and Pickleball available. Fantastic National Parks for hiking, camping etc. They were not crowded July-early August. Recommend trip to the Ranger Station for great guidance. White Sands not far away.
