Polar Express!

We wanted something close to the Durango railroad to ride the Polar Express. This place was just perfect. We woke up to 50 or more wild turkeys. It was amazing. Also the deer walking thru the neighborhood. They were not afraid of us watching them. Kids just loved it! Everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Disappointed

We arrived 2 hours later than our 4pm check-in time and walked in to a house that was not clean, dirty linens still on the beds, dirty towels on the floor, and dishes on the counters. We contacted the local host who had to scurry to find someone to clean. We had been on the road all day and had to leave the house for another 3 hours so they could get the laundry and cleaning done. There were holes in the walls, and the furniture in the living room was very old and uncomfortable, just needs to be replaced. The property is very dark and there is no outside lighting on the sidewalk. Must leave the porch light on all the time so there is light in the evening when you get back from hiking. Additionally, returned to the home after being out all day to a "water disconnect notice" hanging on the door.

Getting my daughter off to college

This short stay was to allow me and my family to get my daughter settled in to third year in college at Ft. Lewis. It's always nice to stay in place where you can enjoy the nice scenery and outdoors. This was a lovely location and home. My adult children enjoyed the pool table and separated bedroom from the others. We all enjoyed our time at the home. It was a quiet neighborhood which we enjoyed. The weather was amazing also. We also enjoyed seeing all the animals. This was a beautiful home with everything we needed.

Retirement trip

Absolutely loved this home! My adult kids and I were so comfortable in your lovely home. So enjoyed playing pool and sitting on the deck. We cooked several meals in and found the cooking supplies to be above and beyond what we typically see. I fell in love with Durango so hope to be back again soon and would definitely stay here again. The beds were so comfortable too.

Great weekend getaway!

We really enjoyed this property. In town for a wedding, we all loved being able to unwind downstairs with the pool table and other amenities. Highly recommend!

Great family getaway

The house was very clean and spacious. My kids loved the pool and foosball table. It was only 30 min from Durango and there was so much to do! We would definitely stay here again.

The Lazy Bear

Where to start, while we were traveling to the property, I received a message saying the rental was ready for check in way before or slotted check in time. As this was a 12 hour drive, an unsolicited early check in was a huge WELCOME HOME! for our family as we were an hour or 2 ahead of schedule. Upon arrival the property was clean and well kept, instructions for gaining access were clear and straightforward. The property is excellent for those wishing to get out into nature while still being convenient to urban necessity. Beds were comfortable, linens clean and fresh, they even took the time to make a flower for the TP roll. The pool table, basketball goal, foosball, darts, and the classic arcade were hits with all of us and we're used to make memories that will last. I cannot recommend this property enough, and 10/10 would stay here again!

Lazy Bear Stay

Clean and comfortable in a quiet setting. Plenty of room for our group of 4. Beds are comfy. All appliances were in working condition. Some dishes were not cleaned by previous guests, I assume. A few pans are ready for replacing. There's was coffee and pancake mix provided, nice touch! Overall a great stay!

Lazy Bear Den

My family and I stayed at Lazy Bear Den and absolutely loved it. The house was as described and had everything we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, etc. There was nothing we needed that was not there. The property is beautiful and we loved all the wildlife. We especially enjoyed the cozy wood burning stove in the evenings! And my dog enjoyed frolicking in the snow in the back yard. I had a problem with the code for door lock when we initially arrived. I called the property owner who immediatly answered and helped us with code. I would highly recommend Lazy Bear Den. You won't be disappointed!

Nice place to hang out

The home was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Really loved the variety of games, from boardgames to darts to a pool table. One of the highlights for us was sitting in front of the woodstove at night. Very quiet at night.

Overall review

Overall everything was very pleasant at the lazy bear den and we enjoyed our time there. Close enough to all towns for any essentials, but secluded enough to enjoy the outdoors and area away from the hustle and bustle. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean and well kept. If there was one thing I could give some slightly negative feedback on it’s the outside/porch area. It was not lit at all with any lighting and it was hard to see the steps and front door at night. But other than that everything was great! Would recommend or stay there again!

Cozy woodsy roomy

Perfect space for our girls getaway. Given great communication and a book with recommendations waiting for us. Nice fireplace included, but did not use. Surprisingly wonderful water pressure in all showers and enough hot water. Very important to us!! Would rent again!

Snowed in!

So much for a "spring break". We got to enjoy a Winter Wonderland! It snowed over a foot throughout the weekend! It was still warm enough to go out everyday and make snowmen and of course you gotta have a snowball fight! On the days we stayed in the game room kept us all entertained. We had a great stay and would definitely come back. I bet the scenery is beautiful in the summer!
