Large Group Perfection

This property was perfect for our family reunion. Plenty of space, and wonderfully stocked with what you need to house a large group- plenty of dishes, large pots and pans, lots of chairs and table space, etc. It was so peaceful there, and we spent a lot of time on the deck relaxing even though the inside was lovely, too!

Awesome place!

Set on a huge property, this massive house is great for large groups who want plenty of beds and plenty of bathrooms. The basement has a steam room that we didn't use, and a game area that we enjoyed thoroughly. The house is situated only 15 minutes from the north rim of the canyon. And while the town of Crawford is nothing to write home about, there are several wineries within 30-40 minutes north, and Paonia itself has a nice little downtown for shopping. Crawford Reservoir was very low in Sept, but would have been good for kayaking earlier in the season. Overall, this house is a wonderful place to hang out with family and friends for a more private, more remote getaway.

Great view of needle rock and the West Elk mountains! Big house for a good price. Love the big living room/Kitchen area with all the animal mounts. Would recommend anyone to stay there.

Wonderful Reunion Home

Our children and grandchildren, 18 of us in all, spent five wonderful days in this beautiful home. The proximity to Black Canyon of the Gunnison can’t be beat. The home is well-furnished and also well-suited for extended families. We had two infants with us and no one except their parents could hear them during the night and the sleeping babies weren’t bothered by the sounds of the other children. The owner responded promptly to communication and informed us prior to our stay of a mechanical issue in the home, which allowed us to make preparations. I highly recommend this home, especially for a family reunion.

Perfect house for large family vacation

I just can’t say enough great things about this home!! The house is absolutely stunning inside and out!! All of the views are just as stunning as the home. The deck is perfect for viewing the sunrise over the mountains. The house is fully stocked with everything that you would need. Plenty of activities for all ages from board games, puzzles to movies and a pool table and sauna and more!! Lots of activities to choose from in the surrounding area, great base camp for your vacation. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We would definitely stay at this home again.

Amazing property

Our stay at God’s Country was amazing and perfect for our big family. It had everything you could think of, plus some! The furnishings were rustic, the views were beautiful, the amenities satisfied all age groups, and the black canyon was beyond beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Beyond Awesome

This property is gorgeous inside out. The property was very clean and well maintained. Everything was provided in abundance, be it bath towels or kitchen supplies. Once you step outside, serene mountain views can be enjoyed from the deck. We loved watching sunrise and moonrise during our stay.

Family Reunion

We needed a centrally located place to host a family reunion. We had family coming from Texas, Montana, Idaho & Arizona. We settled on this location. This home had great reviews and we hoped for the best. We were shocked when we got there. The pictures do not do this home justice. It was just want we needed. We had 20 people, 10 adults and 10 kids. there was so much room we never felt crowed at all. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen well stocked and we just had a blast spending time together. Thank you Nancy for all of the wonderful memories we made.

Exactly what our extended family needed.

This is our second time staying on the property. With family in the area, it is absolutely perfect win we want to come together. Visiting this time of year, outside activities were not readily available, but even being in the house all day there were plenty of things to keep everybody occupied. what’s the perfect setting for our family time in Crawford.
