Peaceful Retreat

This was a nice house for our family getaway. All adults had our own bedroom and the kids room was perfect for our grands.

We are generally very happy with VRBO bookings but this one disappointed. The house is lovely and the floorplan is great for a family gathering. However, the furniture was old and worn. The couch is literally broken and should be thrown out. I sat in the middle of it and fell into it. I'm 5'5" and weigh 140 lbs so my size was not the issue. The dining chair seat cave in and some are not even attached properly. Our grandson nearly fell out of his chair when the seat slipped off but my son caught him.

Cabin Stay

Enjoyed our stay, more than enough room, my grandkids loved the park and games. Maybe one or two things out of place nothing to cry about. We loved the cabin it was home away from home. Planning to go back and will rent again.

Our stay was fantastic! The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing. Everything about it was just perfect and better then we thought it was going to be.

Beautiful cabin in a very private and well-maintained area. Would definitely look again.

This property was gorgeous. Perfect for our family of nine. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside by the gas outdoor fireplace watching the deer. Very convenient location. Restaurants very close by and only a few minutes to get to good fishing spots. We would definitely look this again!

Great space for our family

We had a great time at this cabin. The layout was perfect for our group with plenty of room to spread out. We loved that every “adult” bedroom had a king bed and attached bath. I also appreciated trundle beds (as opposed to bunks) in the kids room. The playset, hot tub, and outdoor games all got lots of use and were fun for all. My son forgot a treasured stuffie and housekeeping was very helpful in finding and mailing it to us. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute Cabin!

I booked this cabin for my family to enjoy a weekend off. The location was great! Close to everything Hochatown had to offer. My kids loved the kid room (they couldnt get the TV to work in there) honestly I secretly enjoyed that because they played outside more. I lived on the back porch while we were there the rocking chairs are a great spot to have a cup of coffee! Overall it was a great stay!

Nice house, well maintained, good use of space

This is a nice house and well-located. The interior is well-appointed and the evolve staff do a great job of being responsive to your concerns and questions. Overall though it’s a good house that I’m sure will provide any family a great stay.

Bear Crossing Cabin

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for and very well equipped for our needs. We would love to stay here again but it appears that the pricing (this year versus 2024) is doubling in price and will unfortunately go beyond our budget and cost justification.

Baylor bears at Bear Crossing

The cabin was beautiful with lots of room. The bear motif was perfect. The description was a great guide and even more amenities than listed. Slight improvement- more paper towels and dishwasher pods. At other properties there were more kitchen cooking essentials… like cinnamon, sugar and others spices and basics. Not suggesting that these be added .. . For family cooks would be nice to be prepared

A great family cabin!

This cabin matched our needs of 5 adults and 3 kids (plus dogs) perfectly. The daybed room was spacious for the girls to have their space and was the location of the second of two TVs. All king rooms were roomie and comfortable. We loved the open living room and good sized kitchen and big table. The location of the cabin is great and how it had a lot of privacy from the road. We enjoyed the outdoor games, playground, and fire pit. Everything felt clean. I recommend bringing your own paper products. There was only one main issue with water dripping on the front step and multiple people slipping. It wouldn’t prevent me from staying again be aware until it’s fixed. We may make this our annual cabin!

Family fun

The property itself was great. Lots of fun to be had outside. Games, camp fire, playground, etc. There were only two complaints that we had. The first was the listing said bath soap/ hand soap were provided and neither was. We had no handsoap to wash our hands after using the restroom until we went to town to buy some. The second was for a house that sleeps this many adults I would have thought that the hot tub would have been a regular size/ bigger. To be comfortable and actually enjoy you could really only have 3 maybe 4 people in their at once. Other then those 2 things the house was great.

Great Cabin, Needs Maintenance

The property was as described and nice. However, the property is in need of maintenance. When we arrived there was no propane. The property management company sent someone out within an hour. We had difficulty with the heat and eventually checked the filters. All hvac filters were black and need to be replaced. Two windows in the living room leak when it rains. The hot tub smelled terrible. We emailed the property management company and received no response.

Overall good cabin

Enjoyed the stay overall and would rent again. Good space for families and the kids enjoyed the playground. Some things could be improved which led to 4 star rating. When we arrived there was pollen all over the front and back porch. A little spray down with a hose would’ve been nice but understand nature does it’s own thing. The furniture (couches and dining room chairs) are pretty uncomfortable; the cushions seem worn out. I didn’t check all the ceiling fans but the one in or room was covered in dust and pretty disgusting. Finally the road leading to the house has insane amount of big potholes to navigate, needs work done immediately.
