Lakefront Retreat

Great place for a relaxing family get together! Especially loved the outdoor spaces - sitting on the deck, listening to the birds, looking at the lake. Nice hiking trails close by.

Annual family vacation

Check in was simple. Cabin was nice although not as well stocked as it should have been for a family of 8 staying for a week. Kids enjoyed fishing from the dock and caught a few nice fish.

Nice family weekend get-away

Nice home - well equipped kitchen and nice to have beach towels included. Private outdoor yard and deck. The kiddos had fun catching fish from the dock and we enjoyed use of the canoe and kayaks. Unfortunately the lake was very high and churned up so swimming off the dock was not desirable. There is a state park close by (1.5 mi) that had a nice beach space. Two things to note. Indoor eating and gathering spaces are tight for large groups. Also the stairs to the loft are open which was scary for the 4 year old's and possibly dangerous for a toddler who could fit between the treads. Overall very nice property and location.

Great Spot for Getaway

The long weekend at this location was fantastic. The property was exactly what you see in the photos and the owner was super responsive.

Beautiful Lakeside Cabin

Wonderful space inside and out. Fun loft for sleeping. Walkable neighborhood with trail nearby. Great fire pit and swing!

Great Family Vacation Spot!

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. 8 of us (one child) slept comfortably and there was plenty of room for everything we brought along. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pots/pans/ and gadgets we needed. We spent most of our time outside on the deck, down on the dock, and playing in the water; along with nights around the fire. It felt very private and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

60th birthday trip

We met my in laws at the cabin for my mother in laws 60th birthday. We had a great time - space for everyone and the views of the lake were incredible. We spent a lot of time in the backyard near the fire pit or in the hammock. It was a lovely weekend!

Family Friendly

It was a nice property and set up well for the 6 adults and 6 children. We all enjoyed the kayaks! If there is a recycling program in the area, marked bins would have been helpful, or more garbage bags, there were 12 people. Everyone had a great time!

Birthday Celebration

Beautiful cabin and nice property. We found the cabin to be well stocked with necessities and towels. The garage was a wonderful place to let toddlers roam. The beds were all comfy and everyone slept well. We enjoyed fires every night and enjoyed sitting out on the deck all day. This was the perfect stop for a family gathering and for a small birthplace celebration. Looking forward to coming back again.

Beautiful property

My family chose this property for its cabin-like feel and the privacy afforded by the 2-acre lot and it did not disappoint. The house was comfortable for our group of four adults and two small children. For us personally, we thought we would not have wanted to have more adults as the 2 living areas are set up to seat four people each, and our family always wants to be all together in the same room. There is plenty of room for a large group to sit together outside on the deck or around the fire pit, however, if you have nice weather. The guys caught some really nice bass and walleye on Norway Lake and definitely want to return for more fishing! The hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. We would definitely stay here again with a similar size group.

Perfect summer getaway for friends!

We had an absolute blast here for 4th of July! Such a wonderful weekend floating on the lake, and bonfires at night. The access to the garage was awesome for the day that we were rained out, we were still able to be outside and hang out. The home itself is beautiful, the master bedroom was stunning! The property management company was a frustrating experience. They communicated outside of the VRBO app (in email) which felt sketchy at first. They bounced me to three different emails, did not provide check in codes, and we also had to go out and buy our own toilet paper (and expensive because of the specific kind needed for the septic system) and trash bags. Once I was put in touch with Josh, the property owner, he was super responsive and helpful! Our stay itself was awesome and we would love to stay again in the future, the only downfall experience was with the property management company (Evolve).

Serene Lakeside Oasis: Family-Friendly and Well-Equipped

Our stay was largely positive, especially considering the needs of our sizable group. The cabin comfortably accommodated our family of 7 adults and 3 young children, though I'd hesitate to recommend adding more adults despite the extra bunk beds. The children had limited space, with only the porch area suitable for crawling. The location was a highlight, a manageable drive of less than 2 hours. The 2-acre property offered a sense of seclusion and privacy. The master bedroom suite was a standout, presenting itself as brand new, spacious, and exceedingly comfortable. Outdoor amenities were a mix of hits and slight misses. The double firepits were a delightful touch. The woodburning firepit provided a traditional campfire experience, while the gas firepit offered a quick and cozy alternative. We were well-equipped in the kitchen. The tuck-under garage was a practical feature, making the loading and unloading of our gear and supplies a breeze. The lake was a visual treat and beckoned us to partake in water activities. We came prepared with paddle boards, and the availability of kayaks and a canoe was a nice touch. However, the absence of a pontoon or boat was felt. A slight downside was the beach area, which was somewhat weedy and not ideal for swimming. In summary, the property met most of our expectations and provided our family with a comfortable and memorable stay. The few areas of improvement did not significantly detract from our overall experience.

Great Stay

We truly enjoyed our stay here. We were busy with family activities around the area. I grew up in Willmar and still have family in Willmar and Belgrade. This allowed my family (adult kids and spouses) to all stay together and what an awesome place to do that. We will be using this home again. Great place to stay.
