Rustik isolering nära Capitol Reef National Park

Isolerade men ändå nära bekvämligheter. Nyligen uppdaterat hem på 6. 7 tunnland precis vid motorväg 24. Bara 4 minuter väster om Torrey restauranger och andra tjänster. Omgiven av öppet utrymme med spektakulär utsikt över Thousand Lake Mountain, Boulder Mountain och Henry Mountains. Närmaste granne är en mil bort! Det finns en eldstad och kolgrill när trången slår till att laga mat utanför, eller bara för att hålla sig varm vid en eld under stjärnorna. Inga grannar = inga ljus = bra stargazing. Fantastiska bilder i alla riktningar också!

Ljust, öppet kök och matplats. Spis och konvektionsugn är äldre, men har enkelt kokat allt för att vara värd för Thanksgiving middagar för 10.

Perfekt för barn med mycket utrymme, leksaker och ett bordtennisbord i spelrummet. Äldre stereo (lär dina barn vad kassettband är!) och ny 48 "tv plus dvd-spelare (vi har också en VHS-spelare och några band för mer historielektioner). Antik tv och radio i vardagsrummet fungerar inte, men kan också bidra till historielektionen.

Stora cykel- eller ATV-turer, promenader i naturen och spår går direkt ut genom ytterdörren (fantastiska 17 mil vägcykellögla under Cockscomb eller ~ 12 mil körslinga på den gamla dumpvägen), och naturligtvis Capitol Reef National Park och många många andra naturliga underverk är inom räckhåll med en kort bilresa. Cykelöglan var de sista två varv på Tour of Utah scen 2016.

Torrey har både säsongsrestauranger och året runt restauranger inom 2 miles. Bra pizza, hamburgare, sydvästmat allt inom en snabb bilresa.

We appreciated the personality of this family home.Our hosts were very responsive and we enjoyed the house and location when not at Capitol Reef. The house offers a full kitchen and several spaces to relax and enjoy both inside and out.

UTAZ IPA Tour 2025

Old retired guys out on an adventure to see the many sights in the area. The house was great, had a bit of trouble getting into the key lock, but the owner answered the call, and we got in easily. Had everything we needed, very comfortable. Loved that there were no neighbors close by.

Great stay - again.

This is our second stay here and we love this place. Off by itself so the noise of kids and late night movies not a problem. Convenient for our nearby Capitol Reef National Park adventures. The owners are very, very responsive - the best we’ve experienced in our many rental stays. ALL of us recommend it!

Our 7th stay

Our family reunion has come to this property for 7 years in a row. Every year, the house keeps getting better with more upgrades. The location cannot be beat, the views are phenomenal, the fact that there are no neighbors anywhere near is a plus as well, pet friendly and great hosts to boot..Thank you Laura and Sean

Lovely setting

Beautiful location; very little evidence of humans seen from this house, only beautiful views. Four roomy bedrooms plus couches. Very clean. Hosts very responsive. Very nice well-equipped kitchen. This house is not fancy but has everything you need. We hope to stay here again.

Room to explore outdoors

Kitchen and basement like new, other areas of home rustic/dated, but comfortable. We had everything we needed to satisfy family members from 3 years old to 72. Night sky was unbelievable! Plenty of room to roam and explore on site. Beautiful deck and kitchen. We enjoyed every day.

Wonderful location, great host, lots of room, comfortable beds, great kitchen(except for countertop oven), but just needed to divide up the lasagna and egg casserole to smaller baking pans.. all in all if you are traveling to capital reef this is the house to stay in! Hope to return

Rustic charmer with great views

This home was perfect for our multi-generational group aged from 13-82. The location near Capitol Reef and Torrey made it a perfect launching point for exploring Utah’s parks. The beds were all comfortable and we were able to rest easy after our days of hiking and exploring. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The game room was great for our teens. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The views from the property are phenomenal and the area gave us plenty of options for dining and adventure.

Family reunion trip

This was the perfect property us to attend a large family reunion in nearby Lyman, UT. We had three elderly couples and a couple of adult children get together. The house is not fancy, but it had everything we needed. The best part is how isolated it sits from neighbors. We loved sitting out on the deck in the evening until it was really dark. The night sky was amazing without any light pollution. We were able to Capital Reef National Park, Boulder Mountain and other local hiking locations. Sean was a great host. Perfect place to use as a base camp to explore some of the most stunning natural beauty in Utah.

Amazing place. This was our second time staying here and we loved it just as much. The host could not be nicer, have better communication and flexibility. They were very accommodating when I messed up on the reservation. The area has so much to offer! We will definitely make this an annual thing if we can!!

Peaceful seclustion with magnificent views!

Such a wonderful property. It's just like it sounds... you have no neightbors and a wonderful seclusion. The property has magnficent views on all sides. The night skies are incredible! The host was so great about the couple inquiries I made. Perfect place for a family trip for a trip into Captial Reef and ATV riding.

Great Getaway Spot!

This property is just what we were looking for. It is centrally located to some beautiful hikes and drives, it had an amazing retro decor (with cassette tapes), and was well stocked. They had food bowls for the furry friends and a great yard for exploring and walking the dogs. Thank you so much for letting us stay here, I am sure we will be back again!

Unbeatable location

Absolutely gorgeous location, stunning views in every direction, feels like you’re miles from anyone else. We came for stargazing and the night sky was incredible. We loved the huge deck and comfy patio furniture - we sat outside for hours. We did a couple short scenic drives but mostly we didn’t want to leave! Everything was so comfortable … kitchen was clean and roomy with new appliances, Wi-Fi was as good as home (we had to do a bit of work during our stay), nice clean bathrooms, hot showers, plenty of blankets and towels, one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Torrey was so fun as well, we loved Etta Place Cider, and Hunt and Gather restaurant was phenomenal. We got coffee from Shooke and Dark Sky and both were great. From feeling like you’re living in total isolation, to gourmet food 5 minutes away 😋 Hope to be back soon!

We loved this property! It was cozy, clean, and perfect for our family (our 9, 7, and 2 year old kids loved it.) It felt like home: clean and welcoming, but well worn (in the best ways.) We were just a few minutes from Capitol Reef, which was beautiful. And the restaurants in Torrey were great. While we were at the house we played ping pong, watched movies, laid out on the patio to watch the stars, cooked, grilled, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Sean was helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here.
