Om boendet

Perched on the limestone shore overlooking Sandbanks Provincial Park, is our precious historic log cabin cottage. Sleep to the sound of the water, in the generous log bedroom space with adjacent screened in porch. The addition to the little cabin is a full 3 piece bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living space with pull out couch. Three walls of windows show unrivalled expansive views that take in all of Sandbanks beach and out into Lake Ontario. Walk out to a deck where the sunsets are spectacular. This is pure luxury while still rustic and a great alternative to “glamping”.
Have your coffee while you catch the morning sun on the spacious back deck.
Stairs take you down to the limestone shore where the swimming is excellent, or walk along the shore to the beach.
Enjoy a small campfire on your limestone beach or at your own fire pit behind the cottage.

Beautiful spot!

Rustic cottage with all amenities, and very clean. Beautiful view of the lake and a perfect breeze to keep you cool when sleeping. We had a fun and relaxing stay!

Our hosts created a wonderfully appointed 'getaway' with great amenities and attention to detail - A magnificent experience in a magical setting. Laurie's also deeply knowledgeable and has authored a terrific guide for guests to the very best of Prince Edward County. We had a great stay!

A Rustic Stay on the Bay

We liked the property very much - its closeness to the beach at Sandbanks, the quiet, the comfortable bed and sitting areas, the view of the sunsets, the many windows which made the cottage bright inside and connected us with the natural surroundings, and the rustic log cabin bedroom. We especially liked sitting on the deck overlooking the bay. The cottage has nearly all the amenities one would ever need. The only missing thing was heat - probably not needed during the summer months, but much needed when the temperature dropped to the low teens.

Amazing stay. Couldn’t have asked for any better

Laurie, the hostess, couldn’t have ask for anything better. Responsiveness from host was with8n minutes, but then again didn’t need to contact as everything was superb. We are in our 60s, travelled the world, first time renting a cottage, amazing experience. The sunsets are so amazing. The view from the cottage of Lake Ontario and the sunsets are not comparable with what we have experienced in the Maldives. We couldn't even try to decide which sunset was the best. The breeze through the cottage was great. Amenities spot on. Did a pit fire the second night we were there. Our Yorkie, 3 years old, loved it. She had the entire area to roam and chase the squirrels. All in all, we cannot rave about how great this was as our first experience renting a cottage near sandbanks. Can I post pictures?

You will never find a more special place to sit and enjoy the sunset. It is an original log cabin and has an abundance of character. Cosy, casual, private and good swimming.
Near Sandbanks Provincial Park, wineries, craft breweries, restaurants.
