The house was dirty and musty smelling. We had to wash some sheets before we slept on them as they looked unwashed and had several hairs on them. Some of the dishes were also dirty so we had to hand wash what we used first. The BBQ utensils were rusty and just plain gross. The property is definitely older and in need of several updates/repairs & a thorough cleaning. We are very laid back, understanding and considerate people, so we let a lot of this go while we were on vacation, but for the amount of money you put into renting a home, it was such a shame to not feel comfortable in it. The pictures make it look a lot nicer than it actually is. The carpeting is very stained and worn. We should have done a little more research on this place, but we were in a rush to book something so last minute. The storage box on the outdoor decking area is filled with mainly broken items-ping pong paddles that have no handles, pool/beach toys etc, most of which should be thrown away. The ping pong table is not actually a real ping ping table, it's mini size. The umbrella for the beach was torn and broken so that was really unfortunate to find out when really needed some shade on the beach. The toilet in the master bathroom is in need of service along with a few of the doors. We've stayed in 20 vacation rentals in the FL area, and this is one of the worst we've rented.
