Fully self-contained cottage peacfully 10 mins from Daylesford & Trentham, includes outdoor bath, fire place, coffee machine, full kitchen, air conditioning, Netflix & Stan is included – and that’s only part of what’s indoors.

Veranda with views overlooking the property the gardens which are a joy to wander through. Our pavilion sitting right over the water is wonderful in the evening to watch the sun setting with a drink in hand and then there are around 4km of walking tracks on the property which backs onto the Wombat State Forest (keep an eye out for our wildlife wallabies – kangaroos – wombats – and if you are lucky a Koala).
Have we mentioned the indoor magnesium heated pool? We offer private Wellness Experiences (please book in advance), Aqua & Land fitness sessions to keep you moving & challenge your mind & more.

After falling in love with this beautiful 6.5 hectare property, we bought it and looking through the early titles discovered it had been sold 110 years ago for the princely sum of 17pounds. So we named it 17pounds and built our dream.
It is situated between Daylesford and Trentham and backs directly onto the Wombat State Forest right on top of the Great Dividing Range, about 800m above sea level. Surrounded by old tall forest trees and ferns it has a private creek which feeds into four major water catchment regions, to the south the Werribee and Lerderderg Rivers, and to the north the Loddon and Coliban Rivers.
Originally a potato farm, later a cow paddock and finally residential (rural conservation). When we bought the property in 2012 it had not had fertilizer on it for more than 30 years. Today our rich chocolate soil - almost good enough to eat - provides us with about 90% of our organically- grown vegetables. Crop rotation and companion planting ensure a true seasonal growing experience.
Four separate walking / hiking tracks have been created so you can experience natural forest, lush undergrowth, and wildlife and creek beds.

Our property is one of a kind. Scandinavian style with uninterrupted views, fire pit, pavilion by the water, private walking tracks and a paddle boat on the lake which the resident ducks will keep you entertained for hours as will the cows in the neighbouring paddock.
