Gateway Villas # 299 Condo

Vår vackra två sovrum, två badrum hörn enhet ligger i den mycket önskade Gateway Villas komplexa i norra änden av Fort Myers Beach. Denna gated community har en uppvärmd pool med solstolar på poolen däck, marknivå tvättstuga, öppen parkering och sitter strax på sanden. Gateway Villas ligger ca 1/4 mil från det populära Time Square-området och Bowditch Park. Inget behov av att hyra en bil, du kan gå till många platser och bekvämligheter Fort Myers Beach har att erbjuda eller ta en kort vagnsresa upp och ner på ön.

Vår lägenhet enhet är bekväm för två par semester eller en stor familj. När du kommer in i enheten välkomnas du av ett foajéområde som leder till det stora rummet (där du kan se stranden / Mexikanska golfen direkt) eller sovrummet. Vårt familjerum har två bekväma soffor och plattskärms-TV. Det finns också en matplats för sittplatser upp till 6. Köket är fyllt med alla nödvändiga hem. Sovrummet som två full size-sängar, ny platt-TV, utomhus skärmad i Lanai och privat badrum. Sovrum # 2 har en queen size-säng och platt-TV. Hallen badrummet har en badkar / dusch setup. Andra bekvämligheter som vår enhet erbjuder är gratis wifi, kabel-TV, DVD-spelare, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, sängkläder och handdukar, kakel golv hela och strandstolar. Den bästa bekvämligheter som vår enhet erbjuder är den vackra stranden / Mexikanska golfen vyer från insidan av enheten och från din privata utomhus Lanai med sittplatser. AWFUL

This condo is overpriced for the condition it is in. We have stayed in other condos at Gateway Villa in the past and loved it. The location is great and the beach is beautiful, and close to Time Square. BUT THIS CONDO IS AWFUL. The pictures look fine but you can’t smell it or see the dirt. The floor was so dirty that the bottom of our socks were stained. There was dirt in the corners and hair in the sinks. There was 4 of us and we couldn’t even sit together for a meal because there were only 3 chairs at the table. The unit is in desperate need of an update. The floral sofas are probably from the 70’s. The inside of the dresser drawers smell so bad we didn’t put our clothes in them. The toilet in one of the bathrooms needs repair. You have to hold down on the handle the entire time to flush. The WiFi didn’t work most of the time. The washer/dryer unit is in an awkward closet where the door doesn’t fully open. The mattresses are uncomfortable, old, stained, and the pillows are about an inch thick. The back bedroom has only one vent so the room doesn’t cool and stays hot. We did find a fan in the closet. It was so disgustingly filthy we had to take it apart and clean it. We used it to help cool the room. We had a great time at the beach, but the condo did ruin our overall vacation experience.

This property was clean, great views, directly on the beach, in a quiet area, within walking distance of the square/pier.

Fantastic view! Can't beat the location! Right on the beach and close to lots of great restaurants. Screened in balconies are a bonus, too. Didn't spend much time in the condo, but it could use some updating. Would stay here again.

Great location

The condo was in a great location. Close to the pier, restaurants and shops. Quiet property with a great view of the beach and gulf. I would say the condo could use some updating of furniture and a coat of paint. However, it was very clean and worked perfect for a relaxing week at the beach. For the price we would stay again.

Dirty/uncomfortable

This unit is in need of serious cleaning and updating. The couches were filthy, we didnt even use them. The bedding smelled, I had to pull off and wash everything myself the first day so we could sleep. Dishes and utensils were the cheap and nothing matched. I have stayed in a lot of places at FMB, and this is by far the worst in this price range.

Week of family gathering

Location is perfect. Beach is right out the back door & walking distance to pier, shops & restaurants. Unit is in need of serious updating. Dishwasher is falling apart. Top shelf on door of fridge had no barrier bar, so it could not be used. Drain stop in hall bath would not work. Internet was spotty at best. Screened porch furniture was filthy.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We originally booked Vacation Villas #631 and paid 50% of our fee. The owners reneged and we were given other choices. I asked if we could get our VRBO fee refunded and were told only if we changed our dates, but we had already booked flights and could not change dates. Gateway Villas #299 needs new furniture (sofas were soiled, nicer bedding and pillows and new appliances (refrigerator leaks.)

The location of this property was perfect. However, nothing else was. The furniture, dishes, glasses, cutlery and pots and pans left a lot to be desired. Very old, well used. Both televisions in the bedrooms were not activated for cable so could not be used. There was no kettle in the unit. Only 2 beach chairs, the other 2 were broken. I would not rent here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this condo was perfect. You can walk everywhere. However it was sadly lacking in many ways. I will list them. Old, plastic dishes and glasses. The cutlery was cheap and mismatched. No kettle, had to boil water in a pot. Both t.v.s in the bedrooms were not activated to cable so couldn’t be watched. Of the 4 beach chairs, 2 were broken. We bought one and left it. Stained and old blanket in guest room cupboard. Light in microwave over stove not working.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time with Family on Spring Break. The condo was clean, and everything was as described. This location is perfect for our family. Close to Times Square, but far away enough to be quite and relaxing. Would book again. The weather on Fort Myers Beach is always warm.

February 2018 Stay

I did enjoy the condo but did experience some unpleasant issues. The washer leaked into the condo below so we couldn’t use it for 3 days. Had to pay to use the building one. The plumbing needs to be updated. The toilet in hall bathroom ran on and off all week.
