We had a group of 8 stay (from 11 years to 67)at Casa Zafiro at the end of February 2015. It was, exactly, as advertised. Dealing with the owners, Lisa and Patrick, was great as they were very forthcoming, honest and accommodating. Lisa mentioned in a email that this was 'a very special place'. I'd have to completely agree. Javier, the property manager, met us promptly at the arrival time, walked us through the Casa and the rest was just 7 days of wonderful Mexican relaxation. The house is modest but clean, big, cool, and feels like a house on the beach should. The Casita rooms were spacious, the outdoor palapa shower was excellent and the kitchen was very well laid out for a big group to work together in. The beach side of the property is where the real magic happens. The yard is beautifully constructed and being right on the beach is so fantastic. We ate every meal under the Palapa and spent every day playing in the waves and laying under the two huge property umbrellas on the excellent assortment of beach chairs. There were also 5 bikes that came with the house the we used every single day. Loved cruising the community on them. Overall it was truly a wonderful experience.
Pros: Quiet south location of Melaque and beach area, two big main bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, bikes, great kitchen, 2 fridges, Wi-Fi, fantastic beachfront yard.
Cons: Waves can be bigger and beach a bit steep (we loved them but some people might have to go down the beach a bit - not a big deal really), hmmmm, having trouble finding cons.
