Got the job done

We needed a stay that was dog friendly for purposes of meeting up with family at Knoebels. The ride to Knoebels was a breeze, 15-20 min. Place was easy to check in, clean, easy parking out front, working AC units in all rooms. Fenced in back yard was a plus, and the town park is a very short walk away for dog walking. Comfortable and quiet. If you're taller than six feet tall, watch your head on the stairs, lol.

Check in is easy, house is very clean and host personalized our welcome. There is a turkey hill gas station and dollar general conveniently within walking distance. Neighborhood is quaint and quiet.

Great house and area

My family and I come up every year to go to Knoebels. We decided to rent a house this year instead of camping, this house was right next to so many great restaurants and shops, we didn't need to drive to go eat. Plus the house was so clean! The owner also left a binder of local places to visit and try. Would highly recommend this house.

End of summer vacation

Finding this property was very easy, the porch light was left on for us and I LOVED the keyless entry! The property owner was amazing. She contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed and that we had no problems. The house was the perfect size for my family and having a fully functioning kitchen was amazing. The bedrooms were good sizes, beds were very comfortable and I especially liked that the nightstands next to the beds had built in outlets and USB ports. The size of the bathroom was great. Both my girls were able to get ready at the same time! If I had any negative comment it would be that the living room furniture is a bit worn out, the bedroom doors are hard to close and there is no bathroom on the first floor. None of which are deal breakers for us. We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely be visiting again!!!

A place to sleep

The house was clean. They did a nice job with supplying extra stuff incase you forgot to pack something. The only complaints I have is the area is so depressed. It’s a very strange town, there’s nothing in that town. I knew nothing about Mount Carmel, we only needed a place to stay that was close enough to knobels. The other complaint is how bad the smell was in the house. Smells musty like mold. And they use a lot of plugs Ins and scents to disguise the stench. Which to me makes the smell that much worse. But it’s just a place to sleep. If you’re going to knobels.

Good, bad, & the ugly

We are not used to "street parking"...so not being able to park in front of the house was a small inconvenience. We have a 3/4 ton truck and it definitely did not fit in the extra parking area in the back of the house. The truck stuck out in the alley way. The home owner told us it was legal to be parked there but we weren't comfortable with how much it stuck out in the alley way. The house furnishings, like the living room couch, was in poor repair but the beds were extremely comfy!! The linens were fantastic! So that's what really counts- getting a good night's rest. The A/C were those in-room portable floor units. The only issue was the one in the middle bedroom filled the condensation container up very quickly and leaked all over the floor. It leaked to a point it was dripping thru the ceiling to the first floor. None of the other condensation containers filled up nor were we told we had to empty that one condensation container. The bathrooms were nice but the jet tub didn't work. That sucked. The owner said it might have been a circuit breaker (?). The house was full of "extras", like in the bathroom & kitchen. So a huge shout out to the woman that cleans/maintains the house - finding all the little extras was the savings grace to our stay and brought the rating up. So only complaints were the A/C getting the floor all wet, parking, & the jet tub. Beds very comfy, house stayed cool in the heat, and all the extra very thoughtful "goodies" left for the guests.

Poorly stocked

Bathroom smelt of cat urine, portable ac units were a nightmare, leaked. No ac in kitchen or laundry room. poorly stocked kitchen, couldn’t even cook a proper meal for my family. Only 4 chairs to sit at the table and there were 5 of us. Not enough silverware. Lights didn’t work and bulbs were out too dim to see properly to eat. Nice complimentary drinks, toiletries and plenty of towels in the bathroom

This place was so amazing. It was cozy and we felt right at home. They had everything you could think of just in case you forgot something. I would stay here again for sure!!! The owner outdid themselves!! I give 5 stars!
