The house itself is nice, clean, and very comfortable. We appreciated that it was pet-friendly, and the location was great for our needs. The host was accessible and responsive whenever we reached out with questions or concerns.That said, there were a couple of downsides that future guests may want to be aware of. There is a tenant living in the basement, and the cleaning products they useâespecially bleachâhave a very strong smell. We did bring this to the hostâs attention, but unfortunately the odor was persistent enough that we decided to check out earlier than planned.We also had issues with the dryer. The first time we used it, it made extremely loud noises and ended up damaging our white pillowcases and blankets, leaving what looked like black ink marks. We messaged the host about it, but no one came to check the appliance during our stay.Overall, the house has potential, but the basement tenantâs strong cleaning odors and the unresolved dryer issue affected our experience. With a few improvements, it could be a much better stay.
