Fall asleep to the sounds of the waves. This unique, oceanfront property next to a lighthouse, overlooks the Bay of Chaleur. Minutes to the beach. This cozy, cottage is great for couples, friends, solo travellers or a work vacay. A photographer's dream. A few minutes walk to local attractions. "A slice of heaven as one guest put it." It's not just a place to lay your head, but a magical place.
Sit out on the private deck and watch the boats and birds fly by. Take your cameras and wander to the lighthouse a few minutes away or walk along the beach. A few minutes walk to the ice cream shop, laundromat, recreational centre with indoor pool, sauna and gym and outdoor stand selling takeout burgers and seafood. A tourist centre is also a few minutes walk, next to gift shops and a local bar. Everything within walking distance. The grocer is a convenient, few minutes drive. (certain places are open seasonally)
There is a queen size bed in a room with a view to the lighthouse and ocean. Many love the fact you can hear the waves crashing on the shore as you fall asleep. There is a second bedroom with a single bed and a desk for those who want to catch up on work. Black out curtains help you with a restful sleep.
The livingroom has a comfy couch in front of the TV and also a comfy chair to sit with your coffee and look out the back door at the ocean in the distance -across the bay to Quebec and the mountains.
The bathroom has a clawfoot tub to soak away your cares along with a shower and the window looks out on the ocean.
A fully equipped kitchen with fridge and stove for all your cooking needs.
The back deck is private and a small yard to the side of the house has a great view of the lighthouse.
There is free parking for one car in the driveway.
