Shoreline Cottage June 2025

The home is older, but quaint and has the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The community was tightly packed with houses, but quiet during our stay. The beach is long, with periods of busy activity with people and their pets, but still enjoyable.

Quiet beach!

The home is comfortable and well appointed. The location is perfect if you like to be on the ocean, on a very quiet beach. We walked 2 miles on the beach (one-way), barely saw any people and could have walked another mile or two before reaching a bluff. It was beautiful! Highly recommend this place.

We had a great stay here and loved the location and easy access to the beach. The home has plenty of amenities and was mostly clean. One thing to note is this is an older home, so there were several times during our stay where the circuit breaker had to be reset simply for using the microwave. Also, if it’s sunny out (we got lucky with nice weather) the main living area turns into a sauna in the late afternoon. I would recommend the instillation of shades that can be drawn for such circumstances. Otherwise, we loved our visit and would stay here again.

Beautiful, remote oceanfront stay

We had a wonderful time at this oceanfront vacation rental. Quiet, remote neighborhood with beach access through the backyard. Gorgeous views from the balcony. The rental had everything we needed... kitchen was well stocked. And we were grateful for the washer/dryer access. The kids enjoyed watching movies, reading books and listening to music on Alexa. :) Overall, great place for a relaxing family vacation!

The view...

Wow, the view from this place is incredible – you get a front-row seat to the waves breaking, and the sound of the crashing waves is just magical. The beds are on the firm side, but surprisingly comfy – had some of the best snoozes! Quick tip: the beach is long but a bit narrow, so it's a good idea to check the tide schedule if you're planning an epic walk from the private access on the property. Oh, and the hot tub? Clean, in tip-top shape, and they've got clear instructions posted inside – couldn't be easier. Definitely a highlight! I'm already thinking about a return trip. The kitchen had everything we needed, and bonus points for the recently updated appliances. Top-notch stay!

HOPING FOR A REFUND OR CREDIT

We're sure hoping we can either get a full refund or 'credit' for renting this location again. We were there just 24 hours before being told by Vacasa (who was instructed by Tillamook County) to leave because of COVID-19. Before leaving I still took the time to sweep; strip both beds & wash one load & place that load in the dryer & the other in the washer; empty all the trash, load & run the dishwasher, close the blinds, and turn off the heat. Didn't use the hot tub. Really like this place, I have brought family here twice. Had a problem with the upstairs TV. We were going to watch a movie, and it was emitting a strong electric hot smell. We unplugged the whole system and left it unplugged. Opened some windows and turned on the stove fan. This cleared the smell out, but the issue does need to be addressed.

Breathtaking view of the Pacific!

If you're looking for a quiet seaside getaway you could do no better than this house. Plenty of room, and you can walk to the secluded beach and, if you are a runner, it is an amazing run. If you just want to stroll and pick up shells and rocks it is beautiful. The hot tub in the evening with the stars overhead was amazing. I talked to a local and development in this neighborhood is restricted with no commercial businesses allowed. So no fast food outlets, gas stations etc. which is fine as the city of Tillamook is very close.

Great beach house

Loved the kitchen, dining room, family room setup. Open, inviting, with great view. Can take a very long, scenic walk on the beach right from the house. Who can ask for more.

Beautiful Views

This place has absolutely beautiful views! The kitchen is very well stocked, but does have a lot of expired condiments in the fridge, luckily we brought our own. The beds are comfortable as well. The hot tub seems new, but doesn’t maintain temperature. Each time we got in, the temperature would drop. After less than 30 minutes of use, it would be at 98 degrees. Something that needs to be addressed, we thought maybe it was on an energy saving mode. The kitchen had some ants, luckily bait was left. The grill has seen better days. It is missing a knob and the igniter button didn’t work. Check in was a bit of a hassle. We got here at 4 pm and the cleaners were still on site, cleaning. We ended up driving around and were finally able to check in at 4:40 but the clean job seemed rushed, and the place wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Regardless, it was a nice stay in a beautiful place, just a few things that could be improved .

Amazing getaway spot

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and enjoyed our visit. The house was comfortable and very clean. We especially loved the views from the living and dining room -- perfect for just hanging out and relaxing while watching the waves and the sunset, and we took a few beach walks every day which was fantastic (very few people on the beach here). We had our 2 big dogs with us and the house accommodated them very well, too!

Wonderful upstairs living room & location

The house suited us just fine, 4 friends spending the wknd together. Fantastic location and beach access. It does need some work though-- basement smelled a little musty when we first got there but was fine after opening the house up. Windows need replacing.. upstairs bathroom could use some love. Overall we spent most of our time upstairs enjoying the view.

Relaxation!

Staying here midweek, was idyllic. Late mornings sleeping in (for us), great sunsets, beach walks... much needed down time after a couple years of rush, rush, rush. "New" much easier access to restaurants in Oceanside and Netarts was a plus thanks to a road being fixed; altho many aren't open until Th-Sat.

Private beach access, uncrowded beach with friendly folks. Hot tub and fire pit. Close enough to Tillamook for easy shopping but not TOO close. Beautiful ocean views and sunsets from the deck or the dining/living area upstairs. Reserve this one early!

Perfect

Shoreline cottage was perfect for our two person getaway. We were able to have front row seats for a winter storm that rolled in. And when we needed to take our dogs to the beach it was easy access down a few stairs. The views from Shoreline cottage are amazing. And the deck looking west gives an even more expansive view. All in all, perfect.

Great Place

This is an excellent place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The view and beach are amazing. The use of the fire pit and hot tub was a nice addition. They also included a small gift and chocolate by the bed. I would definitely stay here again.
