The Space:
Shady Creek by Tiny Away sits in Black River, a northern suburb of Townsville and 2-hour drive from the coastal town of Bowen. Townsville offers a wealth of activities to enjoy, such as indulging in mouthwatering cuisine at Cactus Jacks Townsville. Marvel at the breathtaking views from Castle Hill Lookout, embark on an adventure in Paluma Range National Park, and unwind at the stunning Bushland Beach.

This charming country retreat is located on a grassy creekfront with a large shady tree to provide a cooling breeze, this spot is ideal for lazy afternoon naps, reading a book, and small picnics. A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. This includes a waterless cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers) for your use.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence and machinery sheds.

If you're looking for a fun excursion, consider visiting Townsville! There are plenty of must-see destinations, such as Cactus Jacks Townsville, Castle Hill Lookout, Paluma Range National Park, and Bushland Beach.

- Taxi is $80 from the airport
- You can also hire cars at the airport for an extra cost.

Other Things to Note:
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have cows who want to be fed and patted under the land host's supervision
- We also have a dog called Koby, who loves pats, and brings you beer or wine to save time with a return trip to the shops and breakfast

Farm guidelines

- Please be advised that we have livestock (and noise) on our property
- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- We also ask guests not to feed any kind of food to farm animals as they are on specific diets for their health

Important note:

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects during your stay
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
