This sun-drenched, four-bedroom classic 1960’s Kiwi bach offers everything you need to keep the whole family happy. You can even bring your pets along. Enjoy summer evenings firing up the BBQ on one of the two spacious decks, whilst the kids play on the flat sheltered, fully fenced lawn. Post dinner, challenge your group in a game of table tennis or darts in the garage. Stay entertained and connected with the books, board games, WiFi, TV (with Freeview and Chromecast) or take the available kayaks and paddle-board down to Pohara Beach for a paddle! On a winter escape, the wood burner will keep you toasty and warm. With plenty of parking – even for the boat – Pohara is the perfect base to explore Golden Bay. Wonderful stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect and the kayaks/ paddle board were an added bonus. Location was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!!

Short Stay

My parents, Aunt, cousin, myself and our dog all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great place in a great location! Very happy with the property our dog really enjoyed looking around it. We would definitely love to stay again.

Excellent home at the beach

We had a great stay in the well equipped Poharadise, the location was perfect, across the road from the beach and a short walk to shops and bars. The house had everything we needed, only wish we stayed longer. It was great being able to bring the dog, he loved his morning walks on the beach.The kayaks were a hit, we had a beautiful day paddling to the islands off Tata beach with its beautiful golden sands, stunning.

Poharadise - fabulous accommodation for a weekend away

Great location with the beach over the road, Takaka 10 mins away plus all the adventures the Golden Bay has to offer. Classic kiwiana style holiday home, sunny and well heated with all the bells and whistles, dog friendly with a big yard a huge plus. Had a fantastic couple of night's stay, would definitely return.

Great toys!

Both my husband and I and our 2 kids (10 and 13) enjoyed the ping pong table, kayaks, paddle board! Also, the CD movie selection is great as are the board games. You can also walk to Molly’s pub for great drinks and music! Property manager Grant was readily available and very accommodating.

Dog friendly paradise.

Large, well resourced bach with heaps of outdoor secured space out back for our 2 small dogs to sniff and relax in. Rest and walks on beach was all that we needed thank you.

Great place

Very comfy couches, beds and bedding.Dishwasher, washer and dryer make things easy.Oven-proof dish would have been a nice to have to make a potato bake.There's coffee, tea and suger available.

Perfect escape

We love golden bay, but can never find anywhere decent to stay that allows a dog. I am so pleased to have found this place. We live just over in Nelson, and would come back again and again. Comfortable with everything you need, perfect location, clean, big yards and lots of extras to enjoy.

Poharadise was a good name for this place

The house was lovely, beautifully decorated, warm, and had everything we needed. It was a quick walk to the beach. The property owners were very helpful and welcoming. If possible, it might be good to give people until 11am or midday to leave mimid1leave

Poharadise it is

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, hard to fault anything. A great mix between modern and kiwi bach with loads of room, a beautiful warm house with a great logburner, amazing outdoor spaces with a huge garage that has entertainment for all, table tennis, darts, bikes, paddle boards. Close to village centre and beach. Very highly recommended
