Perfect place to stay in Traverse City

We (5 adults) stayed at the Burdhouse the last weekend in September. Everything was great! We were able to easily walk downtown and Tammy was very helpful. The house allowed each of us some privacy but also included areas where we could all be together. We would definitely stay again!

Great Stay

Everything as advertised. Clean, roomy and plenty of amenities. Great location walking distance to most things. Traffic on street would be the only slight negative. Would stay again.

Perfect Rental Location - Traverse City

Everything was great with the Birdhouse! Communication was quick and easy, LOCATION was everything, and the house was clean and fun. Such a perfect spot for our group of women to be able to access Traverse City hotspots. Would absolutely stay there again!

Fantastic property,fantastic location!

Located across from a wonderful cheese shop, steps from a Grand Traverse Pie Co location, and on front street for easy access to Traverse City shops and restaurants - yet still quiet and relaxing. Well stocked, very comfortable beds and plenty of room to relax. Great getaway!

Great home base

Tammy is a great host and her Burd House was the perfect place for 3 couples from Colorado to explore northwest Michigan. The house was clean and a perfect setup to join together as a group and then have privacy when wanted. Perfect location for walking to downtown area and as a jump off point to go golfing, leaf peeping and a trip to Mackinac Island. Definitely would recommend. Thanks Tammy. Joe and Terri.

Great Place

Great Place to stay in TC. The cleanliness of the place was excellent. The rooms were large and there was plenty of space. Location was very convenient being right in town. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others if your staying in TC.

Perfect place to stay

Absolutely loved this house! The uniqueness of how it is broken down into mini apartments is really nice. We all had space yet felt like we were still all together. Very comfortable, easy walk to anything downtown.

Great property for multiple guests!

This is a wonderful space to host family or friends! Lots of space and super convenient access to downtown TC. Parking is helpful as it’s offered next to the house off a side street. Great base for exploring TC and surrounding areas.

Home away from home.

The accomodations were top notch. Three couples each having their own little apartments was terrific. Tammy treated us wonderfully, so nice. We'll definitely return.

Perfect location and space

Tammy’s property was perfect for a group of friends with multiple couples. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance to downtown, and quiet neighborhoods. The house was well appointed. Would definitely stay here again when coming to Traverse City with a group.

Spacious, stocked, and convenient location

This was a perfect rental for our girls weekend. There was plenty of room for 6 of us and the house was very cute and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect and within walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. Tammy was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

We had a group of 5 who love to bike. The house is located close to everything...town, the water, and biking trails. Traverse City is a bike-friendly community. Could ha e stayed for a week and not been bored.

This was the perfect place for our family gathering. Each couple had their own lovely private space and there was room to gather together for dining, games or just relaxing! Perfect for a girls weekend in downtown!

Our group of 6 had a great time at the Burdhouse. What a fun location, the house is walking distance from restaurants, shopping, and the downtown area. The upstairs bedroom has a living area and small kitchen as well, if you need the extra amenities. The house was really clean and easy to locate. This is a great rental for a girls trip, I highly recommend it if you are looking for more character and space, than a hotel room can provide. Tammy, the owner was easy to reach and the instructions for check-in were super simple.

Beautiful older home, incredibly convenient location!

We had a wonderful time in Traverse City while staying at the Burdhouse. The location of this historic home cannot be beaten. We were within literal walking distance of everything in downtown TC. There are four bedrooms and three (yes, three!) fully stocked kitchens. We joked throughout our stay about which kitchen to use at which particular time. The communication with the property owner was excellent and when a small problem occurred, she was highly responsive. Overall, we had an excellent stay!

A Lovely Place in TC for 3 Couples or a Family

Overall this property was well maintained and exactly as described. We had a few issues (one with a fridge, one with the heat not working, one with a cable box). Tammy was great about communication and addressed the issues as fast as she could and everything should be in order for the next guests.

I purchased the Burdhouse because the building is very unique and extremely beautiful. The wrap around, covered porch is perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The location can't be beat. Leave your car at the house and walk into town for nightlife, restaurants, shopping and more.

Cheese lady directly across the street, Burritt's market next door for fresh fish, meats, produce, etc. Grand Traverse Pie company next door. The location of the house is on a great corner of town where you can walk to everything!
