Detta hem är bara några minuter från antingen downtown Traverse City eller Suttons Bay. Det finns dussintals vingårdar, flera bryggerier, båt och cykeluthyrning, plus gott om restauranger i närheten. Planera på en Tall Ship kryssning eller en cykeltur på Leelanau Trail som är lätt att komma till från denna plats. Detta område kommer inte att göra någon besvikelse oavsett årets gång.

Beautiful view but deferred maintenance issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location and nice home however, there were multiple items that arose on our stay. First, the home wasn’t available at check in time- 4 on. The cleaning crew didn’t finish until almost 5 pm. Next (big one), the master bedroom bed broke, which has clearly happened before because the bedframe was cracked and had a bracket to repair it in the past. We had to move the mattress onto the floor to sleep the first night. property management team was definitely great and responded to our issues quickly. Additionally, there was a multiple lights that needed to be replaced. The last example was the leaves were never cleaned up from last fall and there’s still a big pile in the lower part of the yard. With all that, the views are stunning.

Spectacular view

Perfect for a weekend get away with friends! The sunrise view was amazing! Home was spacious clean and comfortable. Great access to walking on the beach!

Bachelorette wine tasting weekend

We did a weekend for my daughter’s Bachelorette party. Friday night we stayed in and enjoyed the fire pit and the lovely house. When someone was tired they could easily go to bed and not be disturbed. It was perfect for our group! We want to come back!

Stay here again

We were ia group of eight friends stayed at the house. We love the home and I’ll definitely stay here again. But don’t be afraid to bring some of your own personal items like hand towels and there is no pot holders which really surprised me for safety reason. Yes I burnt my finger. But we couldn’t ask for a better location in the house had great views

Cozy Winter Getaway!

It is so comfortable and spacious, with several gathering areas in the home. Just a quick few minutes drive into Traverse City to enjoy restaurants, shopping and fun town vibe. We did some cross country skiing and snow tubing all within about 10-15 minutes from the home. What a nice winter getaway!

This house has character and felt inviting. Sorry for the unfortunate bathroom incident we all are getting somewhat older. May I recommend bathroom wall bars?

Absolute paradise!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a perfect stay! This home was clean and gorgeous! We had the absolute best vacation ever staying here and our kids ask daily to return to the Lake House! There were a couple minor things that maintenance immediately came and fixed. The staff was amazing and Kathleen was the sweetest person to work with on booking our getaway! I can't wait to return!!! Perfect area too- close to Traverse city downtown, Suttons Bay, Fishtown Leland and the sleeping bear dunes! Memories we will never forget were made here.

Mixed Bag

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house for a family gathering. Of the 4 bedrooms, 2 were huge, and 2 were tiny. Not a great setup for 8 adults.The rest of the house was quite nice, with several seating areas inside and out. The firepit on the patio is a nice feature, but the motion sensor floodlight absolutely killed the night-time atmosphere and made star watching virtually impossible. Several lights in the house had burnt out bulbs, which caused some issues.Road noise is almost constant, as the house is right on highway M22. Aside from road issues, the location is convenient to Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula. On the positive side, the house has a great view of the bay, and sunrises were wonderful. No dock, but the lake level was down a bit, so we actually had a small sand beach.

Attention to details

As I read in a previous review… there needs to be some attention to the items inside and outside of the house. Several pillows are torn or appear dirty. Outside there is a lounger that is torn up . Dishwasher and ice/water in fridge door was not working and a couple of light bulbs needed to be replaced. Management Company was great to work with and quickly contacted up letting us know my husband had left his wedding ring there.

Beautiful location; clean house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is unmatched; 10 min to traverse or Sutton's bay. It was nice not to have the road in front of house; unobstructed views of the bay were amazing. The kitchen was large and extremely well stocked. The living areas were well maintained, TVs everywhere. The house was clean and consistent with photos; lower level bathroom clean but very small insert shower, needs updating; one lower bedroom had furnace room in it and was loud. Lower bedroom was very roomy and comfortable bed but had no curtains and blinds were broken so couldn't darken room. Stairs to water have no railings and steps are broken near the base; you step onto rocks for about 10 feet then nice and sandy pretty far out. Overall beautiful but outside needs maintenance; birds nesting on front porch made it messy. Very good communication with rental company.

Fabulous Location - house needs updates

Pros: Location, Location, Location (direct water front) - that’s the #1 reason you want this house. Beach out back - great for launching kayaks and having kids play. Outdoor spaces were fabulous for enjoying the water views. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. House layout offers expansive rooms that easily fit our family of 8. Driveway fit all our cars. Covered patio/walk out from basement offered great storage for our bikes and kayaks. Cute downtown area at Traverse City is just 10 minutes away. Outdoor toys are available in storage box outside. Cons: Inside of house was not in top condition, plus as the pictures show, the decor is dated. Exterior needs power wash. Interior needs deep clean. Road out front has frequent High speed traffic plus road noise. Basement bathroom door does not have a lock. Outdoor furniture is older and showing wear, and even though someone mowed the grass, the grass growing in between all the stone takes away from the beauty of the well-designed hardscapes. We looked at a lot of other places, and read the reviews, and made an informed decision primarily based on location. Hope this is helpful to others.

A Memorable Vacation Rental with Breathtaking Views

Our recent stay at a vacation rental managed by Visit Up North Vacation Rental company was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. The location of the house was outstanding, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Every window provided breathtaking views of the shimmering water, leaving us in awe each morning. The cleanliness of the house was commendable, and it was evident that the owners take great pride in maintaining high standards. We felt immediately comfortable and at ease. The house's size was ideal for our three families, providing ample space and comfortable accommodations. The layout was well-thought-out, allowing for both privacy and opportunities to create lasting memories together. We were truly impressed by the exceptional service provided by Visit Up North Vacation Rental company. They were attentive, responsive, and promptly answered all our inquiries. Their dedication to ensuring our satisfaction set them apart. We only wished we had more time to enjoy this remarkable rental and its surrounding activities. We highly recommend visiting Hop Lot Brewery, located just a short 6-minute drive away in Sutton's Bay. It offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, and a great selection of craft beers. great house for our Family

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We we're 8 - grandparents, kids and grandkids. The house was set up well for the group. Instructions were good. Everything that was needed was provided and there was enough left from other renters that we were totally comfortable. Spiders outside are a big problem. The house inside was very well cleaned, outside we had to sweep, clear out spider webs and rake and pick up 3 bags of leaves that had accumulated on the back porch. We had to replace 5 light bulbs, including one in the oven. the hand held shower in the master bath would not stay up so we found a way to pack it so that it would not move. The ironing board had been damaged so it would not fold. We figured out how to get it to fold so that it would not take space in the closet. When the A/C was on to make it comfortable upstairs, it was unusually cold downstairs. Luckily there were extra blankets to keep them warm. Lights in the kitchen had spider webs in them. There were several bird nests on the front porch, one of which had a mother dove and two babies. As a result there was bird poop on the floor. We did not remove any of the nests, but the birds did finally fly away. Appliances worked fine. With no cable, the Amazon fire stick worked fine. Location was great to go to many wineries, and the beach and shallow water in front of the house was great for the kids, although cold. With the provisos that we made above we would recommend this to a large family. There are four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Nice laundry room and a sauna, although with 91 degree temperature outside that was not an option.

Excellent Location & Yard, House Needs Updating

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The location can't be beat, under 10 minutes to Traverse City and right on 22 for easy access to so many MI landmarks. The outdoor space is also incredible with a big back yard for games, large deck and patio for meals, and a small but private beach perfect for floating and enjoying the lake (bring water shoes, it's sandy for a bit but then rocky). The house itself had great space, we loved the big living room with the bar and views, but it definitely needs work as recent reviews also state. Paint scuffed, old water stains, outdated decor, heavily used furniture, and many burnt out light bulbs. Also be aware that one of the basement bedrooms isn't great, with no closet (but a strange door to a sauna?) and right next to a mechanical closet for constant noise at night. There were also some annoyances like a sprinkler system that ran all the time and a flood light over the patio that would come on at night with no switch to turn it off. There are a few inaccuracies in the listing (only 1 bathroom has a tub not 2, and the bed descriptions under Rooms & Beds is accurate, but the written description under About This Property is wrong). Again, we did truly enjoy our stay and we would come back if the house got a face lift, but if you're looking for a high end rental this isn't it. For what they charge, we expected better.

The home was in a great location, only 15 minutes from downtown. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the home and the outdoor areas. The patio outside was filled with spider webs and sticks. It was obvious it had not been cleaned up in awhile. The sandy beach area could have also used a clean up. It was covered in washed up seaweed and branches. Expected much more cleanliness and upkeep especially for the price we paid to book this rental.
