Välkommen till Southview Annex; en lugn reträtt vid norra änden av Owasco Lake i Auburn NY. Huset ligger tvärs över gatan från sjön, men har en fri utsikt söder om Owasco sjön. Det finns en sandstrand tvärs över gatan som är privat för huset. Du kan se solen stiga OCH gå ner från denna utsiktspunkt på den stora täckta verandan, vilket gör detta till ett vackert ställe att tillbringa din semester.

Huset har 5 sovrum med ett extrarum som har en tvåbäddsstol för extra sovplats. Totalt sover huset 13 bekvämt.

Huset är utrustat med en kanot och flera kajaker och en liten segelbåt och fiskestänger. Det finns en gasgrill på baksidan uteplats och gott om bekväma sittplatser på verandan. Emerson Park ligger nere på gatan (cirka 400 meter) där paddelfartyg och pontongbåtar finns att hyra. Emerson Park är också hem för Merry-go-Round-teatern där du kan njuta av professionell teater under sommaren och hösten. Auburn, NY har ett antal intressanta platser inklusive Seward House (hem för William Seward), Tubman House (hem för Harriet Tubman), Cayuga Museum, Fort Hill Cemetery och The Agricultural Museum (5 minuters promenad). Auburn Public Theatre har året runt föreställningar inklusive livemusik, komiker, scenföreställningar och filmer. Musikteaternas mini-föreställningar ("The Pitch") på Theatre Mac i Cayuga-museet och Merry-go-Round-scenproduktioner på Emerson Park är också populära. Det finns ett antal restauranger i Auburn för allt från avslappnad till god mat! Dessutom är du en 10 minuters bilresa till Skaneateles, NY med en mängd fler attraktioner och restauranger.
(Dessutom kan golfutflykter på Private Owasco Golf and Tennis Club .... i din trädgård ... ordnas med förvarning.)

För jägare: ankajakt kan hända precis vid stranden framför hemmet!

För fiskare: det finns gott om fiske vid Owasco-sjön under sommaren och under vintern har vi vanligtvis isfiske precis vid sjön framför huset.

Kom och njut av en avkopplande sommarstrandsemester, en höstlöv / vinturlov, vinterisfiske / snöskor / längdskidäventyr eller vårtid ganska reträtt. Det är allt här på Southview Annex !!

The location was beautiful and it was easy to travel to many great places. We enjoyed the kayaks and the view. We had no problem getting wi-fi. The kitchen was disorganized and in need of a deep cleaning. The silverware drawer was falling apart. The dispenser for the soap in the dishwasher wouldn’t open. An icemaker would be nice. We had to call the owner because water was backing up in one of the tub/showers. One of the queen mattresses had a deep depression in the middle. The house looks “tired” and needs some updating. The dining room carpet near the kitchen is dirty. All in all, we were disappointed.

Home met our expectations and more. Location was perfect. Home was spacious and accommodated 5 families. It was immaculate and provided many amenities. A perfect setting for our family reunion!

Perfect location on Owasco Lake. Gorgeous view from most rooms and especially the huge front porch. Plenty of room in the house. Easy walk to beautiful Emerson Park. Kayaks and floating devices available for the lake right at the property, which includes a private beach. Close to wineries, restaurants, shopping and anything you could possible want.

Great spot for a family reunion

We travelled to Auburn, NY after a daughter’s wedding with my daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. The house was perfect and so immaculate! Bedding and towels were very good quality. The hosts were nearby and very responsive. The lake was very child friendly. Overall a great pick!

Great for family time

Very nice location, spacious common spaces for hanging out, water craft for time on the lake. Kitchen could use updated nonstick cookware and utensils. Some mattresses are too soft to actually sleep 2 people. We had 8 and were able to make it work by spreading out into all the bedrooms.

This is a beautiful house with a lovely view of Owasco Lake. It was the perfect place for the annual reunion of 5 60-something college friends. Spacious and clean, it is well appointed and has a fully stocked kitchen. The large front porch has plenty of comfy seating as was perfect for morning coffee or afternoon drinks. Wendy, the owner, responded quickly whenever we had questions prior to our stay. If we ever return to Auburn we would definitely rent this house again.

Ideal for our large group!

We were in town for a family wedding and The Annex was perfect for our large family to stay at. (3 siblings, their families and our mom) The common spaces are so large and so varied that you are not on top of each other. All of us were able to gather and hang out in the very large and well equipped kitchen. The covered front porch with lake view was perfect too. We all wished we had more time to spend there but alas we had to go home. We won't hesitate to book this property again.

Relaxing

We work long hours (10-14 hour days) and it was nice to come here and sit on the porch and relax. The view was peaceful. The owners came and visited once and are extremely kind and easy to talk to.

Annual family gathering!

House was beautiful! Location great and close to Wegmans/grocery store. Owner was very kind and communicated well. Would definitely stay here again! 2nd kitchen was key for storage and cooking for large amount of people. Set up of house was bigger than it looks in pictures. We were all very happy with our choice!

Senior Girls Weekend

This worked great for the 5 of us. While an older home, it was clean, updated, and so well maintained. The view was exceptional and the location was perfect. We had a couple minor issues that needed the host, and the response was so quick and effective. No one had any complaints.

Reunion on the lake

Our stay at The Annex was great. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the property - whether it was indoors or on the spacious front porch. The beach and adjacent Park were very nice, even in October. Planning to try to visit again next year!

Another great stay

This house is just wonderful, The rooms are spacious and very nicely done. Everything is top notch including the host. Wendy is always available This is our second stay here, and there will be a third. The huge kitchen is a great gathering place. The house is right in front of the Lake with a spectacular view, and very quiet. But it's also just a short drive to Auburn's restaurants, and especially Wegman's. Great care has been taken to make the house comfortable and welcoming. It's a real treasure.

Weeklong August vacation

We had a very lovely week at the Annex house. Our weather was very good for all but two of the days when it was rainy. Our teenagers spent time on the dock and in the water. The water was very clear and warm and pleasant. Really not much of a beach at all at the house, however. it was a little disappointing, but we still managed to enjoy the area. It was great using the double kayak and the single kayak along with the lifejackets that were provided there. There were also several blowup rafts and a paddleboard that were very nice to use. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We also really enjoyed the view from the front porch of the lake. Living room was also very comfortable for movies in the evening. Lots of games and books at the house as well. Our host was very accessible and accommodating, and the house was well worth the money. Would recommend and stay here again!

Summer fun on Owasco Lake

My family and I had a great time staying on Owasco Lake. This house is very large and easily accomodated 7 adults and 2 kids. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground level which is great for someone who can't navigate stairs. You have to cross a somewhat busy street to get to the lake which was fine for the older kids (11 and 15) in our party. The lake itself has very clear water and was shallow for perhaps about a hundred feet (great for kids) before it became deeper. We explored the lake using the provided kayaks and the iSUPs we brought, and rented a pontoon boat from the nearby marina for a couple days to explore further areas of the lake.

Great house very large

We had a great time at the house, kitchen was very well stocked. There was lots of extra towels and blankets. They had a great selection of games, puzzles and some toys. The only.cons was the beach was smaller than expected and was quite dirty, tthey dod have someone come clean it and rake it couple days later. There is no central.ac air conditioners are in windows thougb and they worked well but the filters were so dusty we had to clean them. Overall a great place for family to stay.

Another fantastic stay

This was our third time staying at this beautiful property. The front porch is amazing. We had 10 family members staying here and everyone loves coming back to Owasco Lake.
