South has a long way to go...

The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very unhappy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We have visited CS before, but this was our first time in South. South is very much still a construction zone. Workers were everywhere, we were breathing in sawdust while riding in the golf cart. No shade anywhere, as the palm trees are still small and there are no overhangs. Only place to get food is at the pool. There is no town square or main office there. The pool was extremely murky, the baby pool was even worse. Again, barely any shade. We had to get our food To-go everyday just to be able to eat it because the flies at the pool were swarming the food so badly, it was impossible to eat there. South also doesn’t feel as safe as north, with all of the construction, people coming in and out. And at night it feels like you’re away from civilization because it’s so bare. The house was nice, it’s brand new, but it’s right on the busy road, which also added to our safety concerns. The staff at the pool were nice but the staff at the main office were very rude during check-in. We normally enjoy CS very much, but left this time feeling pretty bummed about our experience. It’s not right to make people pay CSN rates and receive CSS accommodations and amenities. The website says you can get 10% off south because of the construction, but upon checkout it said our property didn’t apply for the discount. Have no idea why.
